Data Management (60%):

• Gather and consolidate data from internal datasets to maintain master data for operations.
• Collect external data sources using web scraping and APIs.
• Demonstrate understanding of system connections in operations.
• Create and enhance data dictionaries and logics for master datasets.
• Validating and verifying data for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and frequency.
• Develop KPIs to measure operational performance and track progress.
• Identify and close gaps in shipment movement checkpoints and systems.
• Communicate technical concepts and findings to non-technical stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and enhancement in data management.

Reporting and Analysis (35%):

• Effectively communicate with stakeholders to understand data and reporting requirements.
• Create and maintain reporting dashboards to convey complex data insights.
• Provide automated updates to stakeholders to communicate key findings and progress.
• Lead data analysis to identify trends, root causes, and improvement opportunities.
• Develop strategies for data visualization and streamline analysis workflows.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to improve processes and deliverables.

Team Leadership and Development (5%):

• Mentor a team of operations analysts in data management, reporting, and analysis.
• Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous learning.
• Set performance goals, conduct regular reviews.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, or Operational Research.
• Specialized degrees or certifications in data analytics, data science, business analytics or related fields can be advantageous.
• Proven experience as a data analyst or similar role, with 3-5 years of experience using tools such as SQL, Python, R or similar languages; experience with BigQuery in the logistics industry can be advantageous.
• Proven track record using data visualisation tools such as Tableau, Power BI or similar tools; experience with LookML (not Looker Studio) can be advantageous.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within the organisation.
• Demonstrated ability to work with large and complex datasets, translate them into actionable recommendations, and drive organisational change.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy, integrity, and quality.

• Follow policies, guidelines, and procedures for quality and cost control.
• Monitor timely execution and delivery of Teleport services.
• Assist and develop policies, procedures, and guidance documents across operational functions.
• Conduct distribution of supplies, maintain inventory records, and analyze requirements to achieve desired outcomes.
• Represent Teleport as the prime technical contact on contracts and projects.
• Collaborate with Teleport departments and third parties to improve logistics and reach desirable outcomes.
• Define and collect relevant indicators and metrics for Teleport operations.
• Analyze performance data to identify strengths and weaknesses, and implement continuous improvement actions.
• Specify infrastructure, facility, and equipment requirements for projects in operations.
• Interact with airline scheduling, network requirements, and regulatory teams for freighter operations.
• Liaise with engineering on maintenance requirements for freighters.

• Research and analysis on industry benchmarks to identify market leaders, best practises and identify how this could be applied to improve Teleport’s Business lines;
• Research and analysis on macro and microeconomics factors that is impacting the industry and understanding how this can significantly impact Teleport’s goals and objectives;
• Having a deep understanding of the key levers of the business lines and applying market and industry factors that will “move the needle” and impact Teleports objectives and financials;
• Work closely with business and enabler leaders, to understand how operations impacts the business and ensure business and operations team are aligned with our long term goal and objective;
• Collaborating with cross-functional departments independently (all departments including operations) to identify gaps in the business and providing solutions “looking at the bigger picture” (taking into consideration long-term goals and objectives);
• Monitoring profitability of all entities under Teleport Group to ensure revenue and profits are maximised with cost contained;
• Making key decisions around how capital or working capital (internally generated through EBITDA or external funding) are redeployed into the business. Balancing between growth, scale and profitability;
• Building, monitoring and constantly reviewing financial models for Teleport Group;
• Building dashboards for FP&A reportings - single source of truth;
• Preparation of monthly reports - key messaging, financial and operational performances (not financial consolidation reports/reporting packages) for external (bankers, investors, etc) and internal stakeholders (Management, Shareholders, Capital A, Airlines);
• Preparation and review of forecasts and budgets
• Manage and align objectives and work closely along the other 2 team members (finance business partners)
• Implement and coordinate ad-hoc finance business initiatives

SKILLS

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• At least 6 years experience in the related field (FP&A)

• Power BI and or Tableu or anything equivalent
• Worked closely with cross-functional business and enablers teams (business partners)

SUMMARY

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Associate Product Manager. You will play a crucial role in the development and enhancement of our logistics products and services, with specific focus on first mile, middle mile, customs and mobile app development. 

SALARY RANGE: RM8,000 - RM10,000

DESCRIPTION

• Work closely with the Product Manager to develop product roadmaps and prioritize features based on customer feedback and stakeholder requirements 
• Defining product requirements and user stories for new features and enhancements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, commercial and operations, to define product requirements and ensure timely delivery
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify new business opportunities and inform product decisions
• Demonstrate the ability to think independently and make data-driven decisions in the context of
