Our client, an organisation within the creative industry is seeking a HR Professional to join their team on a permanent basis. This is an exceptional opportunity for someone seeking their first HR Director role, it would suit an individual who is currently working at HR Business Partner/Manager role seeking development into a senior level role.
This organisation has grown from 20 employees to 70 over the past couple of years and will continue a strong growth trajectory. There are huge prospects for this role which will provide you with many developmental opportunities.
As trusted partner you will support the human factor in the company, oversee HR initiatives, and ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations. Initially this role will sense check and review current HR practices, you will recommend new policies and procedures. You will own the process.
You will build and implement plans to align/deliver resources in support of organisational goals and needs and help foster the company culture that encourages talented employees to develop their skills.
With the foundations already in place you will map out HR and how to take it forward as the organisation grows.
Key responsibilities:
Translate key data into an effective and commercially focused HR and people strategy, working with senior management and influencing them on the best course of action.
Give counsel and oversee complex employee relations issues such as grievance and disciplinary cases and manage difficult cases with professionalism.
Establish departmental accountabilities for the range of HR functions from talent acquisition, mental health and wellbeing, learning and development, diversity and inclusion.
Devise recruitment strategy and oversee its implementation.
Update and review HR policies, procedures and guidelines and enforce organisation values.
Champion a performance culture and continuously review productivity and employee development making recommendations for improvements.
Lead on special projects and communicate and direct on strategy and implementation.
Champion change initiatives
Ensure legal compliance is met in all HR activities.
Challenge the Board where appropriate and suggest alternative paths.
Continuously review the responsibilities of the HR department and make bold decisions when necessary.
About you.
You will have broad experience within HR, it is imperative that this individual comes from a creative background and be someone that is keen to progress their career into a HR Director role. It is likely that you are currently working at Senior HR Business Partner level and seeking an opportunity to have your voice heard. Someone that can drive initiatives, non-hierarchical in the first instance to ensure all foundations are put into place.
You will be passionate about culture, someone that can drive ED&I through a business.
You will have in depth knowledge of HR including employee relations, employment law, legislation and procedures and performance management.
Salary and Benefits
C£75,000-£85,000 (there is flexibility above this)
