I. Mission of the Department: The Finance department in WWF Singapore is to provide donors, stakeholders, and business partners with sound financial and internal control and governance in alignment with the Singapore Charities Act, Financial Reporting Standards, and WWF policies. We focus on efficient operating systems and processes, information, analysis, and business insights needed for informed decisions, and strong financial resources to support WWF’s priority conservation activities in Singapore and the rest of the global network.
II. Major Functions: Deliver timely and accurate financial information and business performance insights for the operations of fundraising and conservation activities of WWF Singapore. Provide strategic financial planning, oversight of project expenditures and revenue, and cash management to maximise the efficient and effective use of funds. Drive accountability, control and compliance, and risk awareness by a high-performing team of talented finance professionals based on trust and mutual support.

The Job
Reporting into Managing Director (Chief Executive Officer), the Group Finance Manager is to lead the Accounts Teams from various business units to:
- Consolidate Periodic Group Financial Reports / Financial Analysis, close and prepare annual audited financial statements (P&L) – Financial Year 1 April – 31 March.
- Prepare sales and cost forecast, cashflow forecast, management accounts for the Group.
- Review, monitor and submit Report / Analysis on the Group’s financial performance against budget.
- Oversee the training and development of the Accounts Team to achieve optimal level of efficiency and accuracy.
- Implement Accounting SOP to streamline accuracy, efficiency and effectiveness of accounting entries and records.
- Review the current Account Team Job Scope / efficiency and recommend suggestion if required.
- Liaise with external auditors for yearly audit and issuance of financial statements; bankers and tax consultants when required.
- Participate in the Annual Finance Budget exercise.
- Ensure prompt submission of GST Returns and annual tax filing for the Group.
- Review contractual finance related documents and liaise with lawyers as and when required.
- Create / Generate ad-hoc reports for various business needs if required.

• Financial Planning and Analysis: Developing and implementing financial plans, budgets, and forecasts. Analyzing financial data and providing strategic recommendations to improve financial performance and support decision-making processes.

• Financial Decision Support: Providing financial analysis and support for business decisions, such as investment evaluations, pricing strategies, and potential mergers or acquisitions. Conducting financial due diligence and assessing the financial viability of projects or initiatives.
• Stakeholder Communication: Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including executives, department heads, auditors, and financial institutions. Communicating financial information, performance updates, and strategic recommendations effectively.
