JOB DESCRIPTION

• Manage and operate the School Library System for circulation and online enquiries, database maintenance, e.g. student and staff information, status/location of library collection, online reservation portal for teachers and students to make reservations for books
• Organize/catalogue library collections accordingly to the Dewey Decimal Classification system and/or by genres
• Provision of assistance to English HOD to plan termly library schedules; and assistance to English & Mother Tongue departments to liaise with supplier(s) on the purchase, delivery and verification of library resources acquired.
• Management of library facility for use by school staff for meeting purposes and display of pupils' artworks for library showcase
• Promote library collection, services and activities through thematic/new arrivals/promotional displays, newsletters, and school's Message/Broadcast system and special events managed by the School Library Committee (e.g. Character Day, International Friendship Day, Reading Quests)
• Parent volunteer management in support of library programmes, events and activities
• Provision of assistance to teachers in all activities conducted in the library (e.g. Values in Action (VIA))
• Any other duties as assigned by Teacher-In-Charge, Administrative Manager and School Leaders

Commitment Period:

1st July 2024 to 30 June 2025 (subject to extension)

WORKING HOURS:

• Monday to Thursday: 8.00am to 5.00pm (45 min lunch break)
• Friday: 8.00am to 4.30pm (45 min lunch break)

REQUIREMENTS:

• Min GCE 'O' Levels
• Min 3 year of experience working in library preferred
• Proficient in English
• Proficient in Microsoft Office

Job Description

· In charge of overall media production including photography, videography, video editing and media production for social media campaigns such as social media feeds, ads, brochures, etc.

· Must be able to conceptualize creative ideas, develop thematic directions, and style all videography/photography work.

· Lead full end to end video production process, include storyboard with marketing team, identify key scenes, timeline, scripting, thumbnail and post-production.

· Conduct video, photoshoot, and live-stream events.

· Perform other ad-hoc duties, projects, and initiatives as assigned and when required.

Job Requirement

· Highly creative with an eye for aesthetic standards, meticulous and adventurous, high personal standard with ownership in his projects

· Must be able to prioritize, multi-task and work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.

· At least 1 year of relevant experience in videography and photography

· Have proven track record in photography and film video editing especially in social media.

· Proficient in Video Editing Software, Adobe Creative Cloud (i.e. Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop)

· Candidate should understand Chinese

· Portfolio for Past Work Experience is a must

Our internship will entail creating headlines and articles, publishing the latest trends, and attending events when not in the office. As such, you will be responsible for producing engaging and informative content on topics such as holidays, concerts, hotels and more!

For interns, you will be writing a mix of long-form reviews (~800 words), best-of-lifestyle listicles as well as short-form news articles (150-250 words). You can expect to write around 2 articles daily.

What you will be working on?

(A) Educational Programmes

• Oversee and monitor the school booking system for Learning Journeys at the museum and keep track of school visits and answer enquiries about school programmes, bookings via emails, and phone calls, etc.
• Co-ordinate weekday and weekend docent tours/virtual tours for school visits, regular or special requests.
• Welcome school groups to the museums or virtually, and undertake crowd control measures during peak periods or when there are a few school groups in the museum.
• Prepare and monitor educational resources and worksheets.

(B) School Workshops, Programmes and Travelling Exhibitions

• Co-ordinate logistics / equipment list for all workshops and programmes.
• Assist in the coordination and the running of the workshops or programmes – both onsite and online.

(C) Volunteer Management

• Liaise with various groups on bookings of museum facilities for activities like training, gatherings, meetings etc.
• Co-ordinate logistics / equipment list for all volunteer events.

What are we looking for?

• A minimum diploma in Arts management, education, art, history or other relevant discipline.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
