Security AssistantKBR is seeking a Security Assistant to join Advanced Development our team. The successful candidate will team with other professionals in providing support services through the Security Office.
NOTE: This position is not eligible for remote work; on-site support is required.
Role and Responsibilities:
Administer and coordinate the DoD security program and other security activities to ensure compliance with government and company security policies and procedures that are non-IT related.
Security related duties will include controlling physical access to facilities and verifying visitor clearance information using approved databases.
Implement security procedures in coordination with government agencies and management personnel.
Conduct security briefings. Participate in the development of and conducting Security Education, Training and Awareness (SETA) program that includes, but is not limited to; indoctrinations, briefings, foreign travel, couriers, event-driven briefings, and debriefings.
Specific tasking:
Administer visitor control program, coordinate and permit access to controlled spaces in accordance with standard operating procedures.
Maintain the visitor control and badging system that supports SAP and SCI visit requirements which includes accurate visitor identification; preparation and destruction of visitor badges; escort uncleared visitors.
Execute and support security policies and procedures that ensure classified information is always protected.
Responsible for backing up the Security Manager and/or Security Administrative position as needed.
Candidate must be able to support various work hours during normal business hours.
Basic Qualifications:
A high school diploma or equivalent.
A minimum of 3 years of experience with at least 3 years of experience in a government security environment.
A current Top-Secret Clearance with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within the last 5 years is required

The Modern Apprentice ICT Network Assistant will work towards providing first line user support and customer service for all Council supported ICT equipment and services, as defined by ITIL v3. This is a highly visible customer-facing role. This will include working as part of a team to maintain ICT services.
