As a Compliance and Finance Officer,
You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our client’s operations adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and financial standards. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of tasks related to financial oversight, risk assessment, and compliance.
Some of the things we expect you to do are to:
- Performs monthly audits of resident move-in files to ensure all paperwork, including but not limited to the Lease Agreement is completed thoroughly and accurately and information is recorded in the PMS (Property Management Software) correctly.
- Performs regular monthly audits of the resident move-in ledger to ensure all monies, including concessions, are applied appropriately in the PMS and in the Lease Agreement, as well as any necessary supporting documentation, such as the Concession Addendum.
- Performs regular monthly audits of resident rent increases and renewal documentation to ensure paperwork is completed properly and increases are in compliance with AB 1482
- Performs regular analysis and as requested on property financials, including but not limited to rent increases, market rents, amenity upcharges, and concessions.
- Performs quarterly Property Rhino Walks to inspect and assess each property's curb appeal objectively, leasing office presentation, tour path, amenities and general grounds, safety compliance, signage and so on, based on company standards.
- Performs regular audits to ensure resident screening complies with company standards and processes. Reports Work with the Regional Director and AMC-approved screening company to process rental applications.
- Conducts monthly safety meetings. Inspects the property regularly and reports all safety hazards, damages and areas needing repair. Follow up to verify completion in compliance with OSHA, property insurance companies, and company and risk management policies.
- Adhere to the policies and procedures manuals.
We would need you to be or have the following:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field.
- Proven experience in compliance, finance, or a related role.
- Proficient in Excel.
- Experienced with CRM tools.
- Strong knowledge of financial principles, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high ethical standards.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
