Job Scope:
• Maintain a safe, clean and tidy laboratory environment.
• Ensure that all apparatus and equipment are safe and clean for use.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, apparatus, materials and specimens in good working condition.
• Report all faulty machines and equipment immediately, and display an “Out of Order” sign prominently on the machines/equipment.
• Ensure that all glass apparatus or breakages are disposed of appropriately.
• Ensure that Bunsen burners and high risk items (data loggers and microscopes) are properly kept and under lock and key.
• Inspect Bunsen burners to ensure they are in good condition.
• Keep a stock book and breakage record to indicate necessary replacement.
• Check and replenish first aid supplies.
• Aid Science teachers in preparing resources for laboratory lessons.
• Aid Science teachers during laboratory lessons, when required.
• Aid Science teachers with the clearing up after laboratory lessons, when required.
• Any other work assigned by the Science HOD.
Working Arrangement:
Location: Towner Road
Working Hours:
• Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays: 8:00am to 1:30pm inclusive of
0.5 hr break (5 hours per day, 3 days/15 hours a week)
• 15 hours work-week may be deployed flexibly, but still limited to the 3
working days per week.
• Deployment hours is capped at 15 hours weekly.
Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays, gazetted public holidays
and School Holidays / Events / Activities
Contract Duration: Jan 2024 to Nov 2024
Salary: $1400-$1500/Month
Job Requirements:
(i) Has experience working at Science Labs in Primary Schools and
performed the duties as prescribed in the section under “Scope of Services.”
(ii) Able to use Microsoft Office, Internet and Email
