Production Manager Role
We are looking for a Production Manager to oversee a team of Supervisors, Team Leaders, and approximately 35+ full-time staff. This role is responsible for overseeing the shifts Production facilities, ensuring that the goods are produced efficiently, on time and to a high standard as per the customers' specifications. The role is responsible for completing the daily plan and holding Supervisors and Team leaders accountable for their team's performance. This role would suit someone who is very hands on but can also step back and see the bigger picture and make strategic decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Production Manager Key Responsibilities

Core

- Oversee the production process, co-ordinate production plans ensuring resources are allocated appropriately.

- Own process efficiency for both shifts, both driving improvements and delegating tasks to the team leaders and their teams.

- Follow the daily plan and be able to change the plan as required to meet customer requirements.

- To build and develop the production team; ensuring people are adequately trained and held accountable to meet performance criteria.

- Communications

- Liaise throughout the day with the Planning Coordinator, sales, and logistics to progress customers' orders.

- Responsible for the upward communication of issues as and when required.

- To be fully involved in x 2 daily sales meetings on progress of required jobs

HR & People Management

- To Conduct inductions on new staff and appraising of existing team members annually.

- To continue to improve the absence levels on both shifts by continually monitoring and managing absences.

- Manage clocking of staff making sure they are paid correctly.

- To be available for staff to speak to you and invite for conversation and file note where necessary

- To carry out Disciplinary hearings as required for the Shift.

- Health & Safety

- Ensure all safety requirements and training are always adhered to as per Health and Safety Policy, risk assessments and Safe Work Practices.

- To encourage safe work practice and use of behavioural observations.

- Manage staff PPE adherence including company uniform

Quality

- Closely liaise with Design to ensure work instructions are concise and any queries dealt with in a timely fashion.

- To create quality alerts as and when required to keep operatives focused on what is causing issues for our customers.

- To communicate performance to team leaders and manage that they are being communicated down the line to machine operatives.

We are seeking an experienced Product Evangelist and customer advocate having extensive experience in Product strategy and Product Management. This position will report into Vice President, Product who is based out of Athens, Greece with dotted line reporting into MD, Singapore. Product Manager shall own product lifecycle and will develop and execute product strategy and define product roadmap in alignment to business objectives. Ideal candidate will be well versed in managing product life cycle from strategic planning to execution. Ideal candidate will have deep understanding of UI/UX and shall guide the team towards building and engaging data driven user experience.

Job description

· Primary focus will be to provide product leadership for portal.

· Identifying and developing business-responsive platform and product solutions for the Singapore market

· Meeting with customers to present new product features and gain insight into new product opportunities

· Driving improvements in our key measurement metrics through analysis of internal data, public data, marketplace, customers, and competitors.

· Execution of all phases of project management related to new and existing product development

· Responsive product and technology consultation with internal stakeholders and external partners

· Initiate product partnerships opportunities with government and private organizations that can help strengthen product, increase usage and conversions.

· Definition and prioritization of business requirements; communication of business requirements to technology/development teams

· Collaboration with marketing, customer service, sales, finance and technology to develop platform enhancements and products, guide project schedules and allocate appropriate resources

· Becoming local expert for online and offline user experience, thus helping business with user acquisition, retention, engagement and conversion.

· Managing short-term projects from inception through completion; Assisting in the management of long-term projects

· Maintaining an in-depth knowledge base of procedures, processes, product features and other technology considerations

Desired Skills and Experience

· 5-7 years of relevant experience in product strategy and management

· Proven experience within a well-known/innovative/highly-trafficked online environment

· Experience in all phases of project management, end to end

· Demonstrated organization/prioritization/multi-tasking proficiency

· Ability to work independently with a high level of initiative and drive to succeed

· Clear, demonstrable analytical skills – preferably utilizing common web analytics packages (such as Google analytics), and including deeper contextual analysis

· High level of data literacy

· Experience with any/all stages of the product life cycle

· Basic familiarity with web development technology (html, asp, css, xml, rss, java)

· Ability to comfortably engage and interact with internal and external personnel of various levels and disciplines

· Ability to quickly assimilate knowledge in a fast-paced, complex environment

· Eye for details and knack of solving problems

· Flexibility to work within an ever-changing role

· Familiarity with lean/iterative software development principles

Responsibilities:

• Conduct forecasting and planning of materials to ensure smooth production process.
• Schedule and plan production activities based on job orders.
• Monitor the lead time of producing the finished product.
• Update and check inventory physical stock and arrange production of finished goods to meet the sales order.
• Ensure production schedule meet the delivery date.
• Liaise with suppliers for powder coating.
• Troubleshoot discrepancies and quality issues.

Requirements:

• Experience in aluminium working sector and manufacturing.
• Able to lead team members on production and installation.
• Have experience in working machineries.
• Able to read technical and installation drawings.
• Ensure products and install quality.
• Planning of production schedules and allocate sufficient Manpower.
• Implementation production processes and maximize efficiency and reduce production waste.
• Implementing continuous process improvements.
• Preparing material and equipment lists, PO, cost analyses and estimated cost.
• Provide training staff for new production teams.
• Working hours &days : 6 days work week, off on Sunday,8:30am to 5:30pm.
