About the role

The Associate plays a pivotal role in the Diligence Management team, partnering directly with prospective investors, CRMs and other stakeholders to manage all aspects of the due diligence process for Brookfield’s private equity funds. • Accompany the team for fund raising efforts provide inputs to investors on the market, structure, and deal specifies

Fund Administration:

• Done collectively with Investor Relations - To be accountable for administrative matters regarding the investors
• Work with Fund Administrator on investor on-boarding and issuance of securities
• Preparation of notices i.e. draw down, distribution, etc
• Storage of Fund and Investor information
• Internal filing and organisation together with WHCP admin

Compliance to Tax Incentive:

• Establish tax incentives for newly set-up funds - Ensure our tax position is as per underwriting
• Handle the on-going reporting of tax incentives

Research:

• PBSA specific, macro and situational research
• Preparation of semi-annual research update - To update key stakeholders on the changing environment and its effects on the portfolio
• Work with Business Development, Asset Management and Portfolio Management on situational research where necessary - To track data and identify trends on the portfolio and wider market

Internal Reporting and Planning:

• Regular monitoring and updating of senior management on: deals evaluated, operational and financial performance of the portfolio, portfolio valuations and trends in the market - Ensure that senior management get regular updates
• Actively monitor fund liquidity, interest rates, control fund expenses, and perform fund level modelling
• Participate in regular planning for department

Corporate:

Others:

Job Requirements:

• Degree in real estate or any relevant discipline.
• Minimum 1-3 years of professional working experience in real estate investments, valuation or fund management, and broad general knowledge of APAC real estate market
• Fresh graduates are also welcome to apply
• Highly numerate with strong analytical skills.
• Familiarity with Excel financial modelling is a must.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced and collaborative team environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Highly organised with the ability to prioritise effectively.
• Team player, well-organized, with strong inter-personal skills.

About the Role

Our Corporate Finance and Restructuring team in Singapore focus on our clients’ strategic, operational, financial and capital needs by addressing the full spectrum of financial and transactional challenges faced by corporations, boards, private equity sponsors, creditor constituencies and other stakeholders.

What You’ll Do

• To be involved in Insolvency and/or Restructuring projects
• Review and analyse financial statements and projections and assess business plans.
• Reconstruct accounting records from incomplete information.
• Undertake company and industry research.
• Assist senior staff in overseeing operations of trading businesses.
• Perform financial, ratio and comparable company analysis, and basic financial modelling.
• Document assumptions, methodology and information sources.
• Work closely with colleagues on client matters.
• Act as contact liaison between external parties and FTI.
• Maintain accounting and statutory records.
• Analyse and interpret historical financial, operational, and transactional data.
• Apply Companies Ordinance and other relevant legislation and case law where appropriate to component of engagements.
• Assist with preparation of reports, written analysis, presentations, quantitative exhibits, and other client deliverables.
• Attend client site and assist senior staff in carrying out duties and collating information required.
• Maintain a professional image within the company and project the same to those outside of the company.
• Contribute to company initiatives and team development activities.

How You’ll Grow

• As an Associate (0-2 years experience), you will be required to work on client engagements under the supervision of more senior members of the team. You will typically undertake tasks such as gathering, organising and reviewing accounting and financial data, performing calculations, undertaking research and documenting your work.
• You will benefit from on-the-job coaching from experienced members of the team and will be supported in undertaking an appropriate accounting qualification.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Enrolment in (or intention to pursue) an internationally recognised professional qualification in accounting or finance.
• Insolvency / restructuring / transaction services experience preferred, but not mandatory
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English.
• Strong report writing skills.
• Excellent analytical and quantitative skills.
• Proficiency with PC environment and related software, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong work ethic, eagerness to learn and motivation to succeed.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, multi-task environment with a strong attention to detail in deadline driven situations.
• High level of professionalism.
• Familiarity with internet-based financial research resources for corporate information, exchange filings, competitive data, and other relevant data.
• Flexibility with respect to assigned tasks and engagements due to challenging deadlines, changing deliverables, and evolving task priorities.
• General knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles and terminology.
• Willingness to travel when requested.
