Acorn by Synergie are seeking individuals with expertise in the furniture industry, particularly those who have dealt with the quality aspects of assembling self-build flat packs for their client. Your role would involve thoroughly inspecting and ensuring the quality of various aspects of the assembly process.

Purpose of the role:

• You will be working on the largest retail account, handling quality issues that you cant always see, so viewing these from afar via teams etc might need to happen, you need to be organised and capable of managing many quality issues at once.
• You need to ensure you can read and interpret technical design packages and manufacturing details to allow full and accurate quality control inspection to be carried out, as at times You will be working in the warehouse putting together some fixtures (furniture, mannequins etc.) that have been created outside the country.

We are currently looking for a Compliance Manager to join our team.

Purpose of Role:

To provide guidance on potential risk areas, define the scope, and lead the development of compliance policies and procedures to protect the company's reputation and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements for capital markets license holders.

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Execute, review and roll out relevant policies, procedures and processes to ensure compliance with SFA & FAA requirements. This encompasses aspects like FATCA/CRS/QI requirements, Business Continuity Planning (BCP), outsourcing, and more.
2. Ensure that the licensing requirements of the company and staff are aligned with regulatory standards, both for new employees and for potential new business ventures or products.
3. Review and supervise adherence to AML/CFT legislation, policies, and procedures and conduct AML/CFT reviews and transaction monitoring.
4. Assist in conducting the annual AML/CFT enterprise risk assessment process and documenting controls to ensure risks are identified, mitigated, and policies are updated accordingly.
5. Conduct monitoring of market transactions and communications for surveillance purposes.
6. Prepare training materials and deliver training sessions as needed to ensure staff understanding of company policies and regulatory obligations.
7. Support in ad-hoc compliance/risk-related projects and system enhancements as delegated.

Skills and Proficiencies:

1. Degree holder in any discipline with min 5 years of relevant working experience in banking/ broking. ICA/CAMS or relevant certification is beneficial.
2. Possession of a broad knowledge of business, products and operations of the financial services industry. Familiarity with risk and compliance processes, awareness of SGX-ST Rules/ SGX-DT Rules/ Payment Services Act is an added advantage.
3. Good communication skills are critical to success in this position.
