Your new company
Your new role working as an Account handler Technician will be working for an international Lloyd's Broker with offices based in London and Worldwide. Your new Brokers ensure that they negotiate and handle complex transactions and have the knowledge to provide valued and trusted advice to all their customers. You will be working within a well-respected and dynamic Sports and Events team working alongside Brokers, Account Executives and Client Directors. Due to expansion within their team, they are now looking for an experienced Account handler to join their already established team.

Your new role
Your new job working as an Account Handler niche sports, Events and other specialist areas means you will be responsible for an all-encompassing Account handler and technical role. Dealing with clients from inception to completion with a full servicing role. You will liaise extensively with clients, colleagues and Underwriters
dealing with both new and renewal business. Other duties will include creating MRC Slips, Endorsements and presentations to the market. This is an all encompassing Account handler position within a dynamic division.

What you'll need to succeed
Your previous experience working within Insurance as an Account handler
will contribute to your success in securing this role. (Experience of Commercial Combined, Casualty, Contingency risks would be advantageous). Ideally, you will have proven experience producing technical documentation to include MRC Slips and endorsements. ( however this can be trained)

Your role

As our Groups & Events Sales Executive, you will support our Groups & Events Sales Managers and our Events team to manage all groups and event enquiries for the hotels from quoting to contracting.

You will be primarily be responsible for preparing sales proposals, quoting, and converting enquiries & prospective business leads, on behalf of our proactive sales team, for new and existing clients. You'll be one of our guests' very first points of contact, responsible for handling a range of both Group and Event enquiries including bookings over the telephone, over email or via one of online booking partners and build strong working relationships with all of our clients to ensure sales opportunities are converted. In addition to bookings in our meeting rooms, you will also handle enquiries for our private event spaces, outlets, and suites for exclusive private party use from dinners & cocktail parties to small fashion shows and press junkets.

An important part of your role will be showcasing our property, coordinating show rounds of our event spaces and hotel accommodation on behalf of the Sales team. You will also support some of the wider sales initiatives at the hotel, including the hosting of fam trips and potentially attending some roadshows and trade fairs. You'll work closely with our team of Coordinators and Event planners to ensure that all details are handed over seamlessly and that contact with clients is maintained.

This is not a ‘Standard' Groups & Events Sales Executive role so you will need to have miles and miles of personality and stamina, be highly social, upbeat and friendly; confident and be able to handle pressure well; thrive in a high-volume, high-energy environment and able to work equally well both independently and as part of a team.

As a Customer Development Executive, you'll immerse yourself in the Trade - engaging with outlet decision makers and bar teams. Working in close collaboration with AUK field sales teams, your main focus will be fostering and maintaining strong relationships, delivering added value through exceptional customer service, brand education and training and trade activation initiatives.

You will support outlet owners and decision makers in driving outlet performance and category growth, enhancing and leveraging brand loyalty, portfolio expansion and rate of sale.

You will also have responsibility for account management of your own portfolio of accounts and associated targets. With the autonomy to manage your own diary and accountability for the delivery of your KPIs, this role requires a high level of self-motivation and an entrepreneurial approach, with superior time management and organisational skills.

Ideal Candidate

• Passion or interest in premium drinks - previous experience within a beer or beverage serving environment desirable
• Exceptional communication skills, with a knack for networking, relationship building and engaging diverse audiences
• Dedication to delivering outstanding customer service and stand-out brand activation
• Strong numeracy, financial acumen and commercial awareness
• Impeccable organisational skills, including planning and prioritisation
• Proven track record of achieving results and adapting to fast-paced environments
• Commitment to continuous learning and development within the industry

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the trade face of AUK's premium beer portfolio and an advocate for the beer category.
• Support and collaborate with AUK regional sales teams to deliver an agreed number of advocacy, engagement, training and activation activities across core accounts.
• Account management of designated outlets, achieving visit targets, and delivering annual distribution, retention and volume goals.
• Capture and report data and insights from each visits using a CRM system
