Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Global Head of SAP & MES to join our organization as a key member of the technology leadership team. This role requires a deep understanding of infrastructure, business applications, manufacturing execution systems (MES), and ERP systems, with a specific focus on SAP ECC and HANA migration in greenfield, brownfield, and Bluefield approaches. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the entire SAP and MES landscape across our global operations, ensuring smooth and efficient operations, driving digital transformation initiatives, and managing cross-cultural teams.

Responsibilities:

1. Strategy and Planning:

• Develop a comprehensive global strategy for SAP and MES, aligning it with business objectives and future growth plans.
• Prepare a roadmap and guide the team on readiness for S4 Hana migration.
• Identify and implement best practices, standards, and methodologies for SAP and MES systems.
• Drive team to optimize the existing solution across different regions and prepare a standard SAP business process template for all streams (Finance, Sales, Production etc)

2. Global and Regional Oversight:

• Oversee the SAP and MES landscape globally, ensuring the successful implementation and operation of these systems across all regions.
• Collaborate with regional IT teams to understand and address their specific requirements, while maintaining a global perspective and standardization.
• Foster effective communication and collaboration across regional teams, promoting knowledge sharing and leveraging global resources.
• Knowledge of applicable legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements related to IT systems and services

3. Team Management and Development:

• Lead a diverse Global team of SAP and MES professionals, providing guidance, mentoring, and performance feedback.
• Build and nurture a high-performing team by fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and innovation.
• Develop and implement career development plans for team members, ensuring their skills and capabilities align with organizational goals.
• Develop and manage the regional IT budget, including forecasting, tracking, and controlling expenses to ensure cost-effective operations.
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of IT systems and services, driving continuous improvement efforts as needed.
• Experience with leading and developing high-performing IT teams, including performance management, coaching, and mentoring.

4. SAP ECC Project Management and HANA Migration:

• Drive the migration of SAP ECC systems to SAP HANA using greenfield, brownfield, and Bluefield approaches, depending on the business requirements and constraints.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define migration strategies, timelines, and` resource requirements.
• Ensure successful implementation of SAP HANA, minimizing disruption to business operations and maximizing the benefits of the new platform.
• Solid understanding of IT best practices, industry standards, and emerging technologies, with the ability to apply this knowledge to strategic planning.
• Liaise with the business units and manage the business requirements considering the system's impact, cost, and the schedule.
• Identify project risks and work closely with team members to mitigate the risks and resolve project issues.

5. Infrastructure and Application Management:

• Oversee the infrastructure supporting SAP and MES systems, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams to design, implement, and maintain the necessary hardware and software infrastructure.
• Manage the lifecycle of SAP and MES applications, including upgrades, patches, and enhancements. Associated application that integrates with ERP like EDI etc

6. Cross-Cultural Management:

• Manage and collaborate with teams across different cultures, fostering an inclusive and respectful work environment.
• Understand and navigate cultural differences, promoting effective communication, collaboration, and teamwork.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. MBA would be a Plus.
• Extensive experience (15+ years) in managing SAP and MES systems, including SAP ECC and HANA migration projects. In depth knowledge of ABAP and Security Basis.
• Extensive experience working in Manufacturing domain both from consulting as well as business side.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure, business applications, and manufacturing execution systems.
• Proven track record of successfully leading global teams and managing cross-cultural dynamics. Language skills beyond English would be plus.
• In-depth knowledge of SAP ECC, SAP HANA, and various migration approaches (greenfield, brownfield, Bluefield).
• Proven ability to interact with various business users, senior management, IT teams and external vendors effectively.
• Excellent leadership skills and emotional intelligence to influence key decisions, mediate conflicts and build consensus.
• ERP/CRM/BI Implementations and knowledge of standard reporting tools.
• Experience in managing and negotiating contracts with IT vendors and service providers.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Strategic thinking and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Certifications in SAP and project management (e.g., SAP Certified Professional, PMP) are highly desirable.
• Willingness to travel as required to support regional operations and initiatives.
