An exciting opportunity has arisen for 1x wte Assistant Information Quality Officerto provide maternity cover for 12 months working within the Information Quality Team.

The post is intended to provide ongoing support with kitemarking / dip sampling, benchmarking, maintenance of the clinical coding contract and assisting the Chief Nursing Information Officer (CNIO) and Clinical Safety Officers (CSOs) with the delivery of projects across the portfolio.

The successful candidate will ideally have the following knowledge and experience:
• Data management, reporting and/or clinical system experience.
• Intermediate knowledge of IT systems and standard office software packages such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint with a particular emphasis on Microsoft Excel.
• Experience of working to and meeting competing deadlines.
• The ability to demonstrate effective communication skills at all levels of the organisation and with external organisations.

As an Assistant Information Quality Officer, you will be a highly motivated and reliable individual with a keen eye for detail. You will be comfortable working on your own initiative and as part of a team with the ability to prioritise workload and manage conflicting demands.

The role provides a varied and diverse workload in terms of contributing to the extensive programme of NHS Benchmarking Network projects, working in partnership with operational colleagues and the performance team to maintain a robust data quality framework and supporting the delivery of digital solutions within the health informatics portfolio. You will facilitate routine data quality checks, identifying themes and trends and liaising with appropriate people to resolve issues. You will play a key role in engaging with the clinical teams to support the development of a data aware workforce and contribute to data quality improvement ideas.

Responsibilities

• JIRA and Zephyr integration with multiple Test Automation framework.
• Production L2 Operation and Support for inhouse vendor testing tool; including maintenance and upgrade.
• Maintain Test Automation Framework and support department application automation.
• Resolve all testing related issues raised by different application team.
• Develop and maintain Zephyr Import utility for bulk test cases upload/update.
• Develop and maintain Jenkins pipeline for test execution
• Evaluate and adopt NextGen Test solution to ease testing team journey.
• Work on adoption drive for NextGen Testing solution inside department and to other department.
• Support Performance Testing and Functional Testing related queries and application maintenance.
• Make sure all support tickets meet SLA.
• Provide training to new joiners in team.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of experience in Automation Testing.
• Working experience in JIRA Zephyr and Zephyr API to integrate with any framework.
• Good working experience in JAVA, Cucumber and Selenium.
• Working experience on BitBucket, Jenkins and OpenShift
• Good knowledge on OpenText UFT, LoadRunner and vbscript.
• Working experience on macros and VBA.
• Should able to write jenkins pipeline.
• Good exposure in banking domain.
• Should be team player but when needed can handle work independently and has a positive mental attitude.
• Good communication and problem solving skill.

Responsibilities

(1) Active Quality Assurance

• Support the application delivery teams on SDLC Governance controls, Quality goals and objectives.
• Continuously perform Quality risk assessment by evaluating the scope and deliverables.
• Plan key quality assurance milestones and activities such as reviews, assessments, and retrospect.
• Ensure that clear entry/exit and acceptance criteria are defined to objectively evaluate the quality of work products.
• Facilitate the quality review process, by organizing review sessions, consolidating feedback and following up on action points.
• Promote continuous improvement by making recommendations through regular reporting to the Application Managers / Work Manager and relevant Stakeholders.

(2) Advisory and Enterprise Initiatives

• Train Development Team on SDLC processes, provide 1-1 coaching where required.
• Provide coaching on SDLC, Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery and Agile practices.
• Ensure alignment of software development practices with regulatory/audit requirements, enterprise policies and controls.
• Be a Trusted Advisor to Application Development Teams on Software Quality topics.
• Drive and support the adoption of enterprise wide initiatives that would include (but not limited to):
  • Active Assurance monitoring of SDLC controls.
  • Data-driven Quality Assurance & Automation.
  • SDLC Best Practice standardizations.
  • Source Code Management processes e.g. Code Review, Code Quality & Security
  • Regulatory & Technology risk compliance monitoring.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of minimum direct and relevant experience in SQA environment.
• Familiar with SonarQube, BB, Jenkins and CI tools is preferred.
• Degree holder.
• Good exposure in banking technology and operations domain.
• Team player and able to drive cross-function collaboration.
• Able to work independently and has a positive mental attitude.
