Main purpose of role:
To support BD Manager in handling & managing of Winch & Hydraulic Equipment Business Line.
Main Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities
- Technical Sales
- Assist BD Manager to research, identify & pursue opportunities primarily for Winch & Lifting Equipment, followed by Group products & service lines
- Interact with target market participants, develop network & gather information
- Establish & maintain positive relationship between customer & Group team
- Develop, present & negotiate client proposals in consultation with management team
- Monitor delivery & liaise with client & ensure all obligations are met
- Work with customer & Operation team to deliver outcomes in accordance with contracts & negotiate variations as they arise
- Assist BD Manager in providing weekly and monthly reports, current & forecast activities
- Follow up on client timesheets during hire period
- Initiate & approve debtor invoices with Finance team in accordance with contracts & agreed terms
- Facilitate debtor payments in accordance with contracts & agreed terms
- Monitor & liaise with Operation team to ensure reliability, availability & serviceability of Winch & Lifting equipment which also includes Pre & Post mobilization inspections
- Assist in sourcing of specialized Winch equipment
Knowledge:
i. Mechanical / Marine / Offshore / Civil Engineering background
ii. Familiar with winch & hydraulic equipment
Skills & Competencies:
i. Competent in Microsoft Excel & Word
ii. Strong organisational skills, attentive to detail with the ability to meet tight reporting deadlines in a multitasking environment
iii. Excellent communications and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a highly collaborative work environment
Qualifications and certification:
i. Tertiary qualification
Experience:
i. Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience
Personal qualities:
i. Ability to work well in teams and independently
ii. Responsible, good working attitude, proactive, minimum supervision & willing to learn new skills
