You will be leading an energetic A.I./Machine Learning cross-functional team, collaborating with various business/product partners (e.g. Credit, Fraud, Risk, Web, Mobile, Marketing, Enterprise Automation, etc.) to drive a cohesive set of solutions enabling the ever-growing strategic capabilities in the AI field.

This role within American Express Technology (AET), will report into the Vice President, Enterprise Services Decision Science Center of Excellence (CoE).

Responsibilities:

• Drive AI and decision science vision, strategy, and execution across the organization
• Combine A.I./Machine Learning and Technology knowledge to implement highly scalable solutions to solve real-world problems in areas such as Generative AI, Personalization, Image Recognition, Speech Recognition, Natural Language Processing, Best Next Action, and Time Series predictions
• Research latest related academic papers and test nascent ideas which can potentially solve new business problems and enhance existing solutions.
• Responsible for developing and defining deployment strategies for production quality AI solutions in Cloud infrastructure at scale
• Drive both high-level and detailed technical designs and conduct design reviews as needed
• Responsible for health and quality of the code across the portfolio, including leadership over innovation, functional testing, and CI/CD tool integration
• Provide technical mentorship to team members at all levels
• Actively participate in business and technical discussions and forums across Amex

Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related STEM fields. PhD degree preferred.
• Proven track record on producing outstanding research results (Journal and/or Conference publications, and patterns) is a must.
• Ability to convey complex, technical subject matter in a clear and straightforward manner; demonstrated ability to effectively communicate through written and oral presentations with all levels of the organization
• Solid project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• 8+ years full lifecycle product development and engineering leadership in highly available, highly scalable, high throughput systems
• 8+ years of experience in building and delivering sophisticated solutions that leverage various AI solutions, machine learning algorithms or technologies and are able to scale optimally
• Hands-on Experience with GCP and/or AWS is a plus.

Director - Information Protection & Data Privacy (Consulting)

Company client partnered with a global, multinational consulting group in their search for a Data Privacy & Protection Director. The role is based in London (accommodating a hybrid basis if needed) paying up to circa £130,000 basic salary plus extras.
This is an exciting senior role to help shape and grow the Privacy and Data Protection client advisory team and cement meaningful long term client relationships and opportunities.
Our client seeks a Director to lead the sales, growth of the team, own client relationships and opportunities, deliver valuable client engagements and help to lead and manage the team. This will also require deep experience in UK and EU Privacy and Data Protection regulation with an ability to deliver exceptional client service and build and maintain meaningful long term client relationships. As a Director, you will be working collaboratively with other senior leaders within a broader Digital Risk line of service.
Essential:
* An enviable track record of winning Data Privacy & Protection consulting business from a range of UK clients.
* Vision and appetite to help to grow a business.
* Strong exposure and experience of the Professional Services and/or a Consultancy environment.
* Client and business development experience including a high aptitude for establishing and maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholders.

Senior Director, Design and Engineering (Data Centre)

Our client is looking for a senior director to manage their data centre design / engineering for regional expansion. You will be leading the inhouse engineering design team.

Responsibilities:

· To ensure we deliver to our customers on time and on budget.

· Lead the internal & external design teams as our project technical lead.

· Develop innovative Building & associated MEP solutions for our data centres.

· Collaborate with both internal and external construction and commissioning teams.

· Drive continuous engineering solutions across the business by leading the design of customer-centric solutions.

· Lead a project design team from inception to delivery of multi-MW hyperscale solutions.

· Develop high-level schematics of Building & associated MEP solutions.

· Develop Basis of Design documents to communicate design intent externally and internally.

· Perform concept equipment layouts.

· Collaborate with our top cloud and enterprise customers and communicate presentations on all aspects of design.

· Develop high level master planning, space planning and engineering solutions for potential new developments (conceptual and feasibility stage)

· Produce consultant briefs to develop designs from feasibility stage through concept, scheme and detailed design stages, ensuring continuity of design philosophy and approach.

· Coordinate technical aspects of direct procured equipment and facilitate alignment with the design team.

· Understand commercial implications of engineering decisions and build cost models for customers.

Requirements:

· Minimum 20+ years' experience in design and project delivery across multiple industries

· 10+ years’ experience working for a data centre design experience in the Asia Pacific market as a consultant will be an advantage.

· Strong leadership and foresight to lead multi-disciplinary teams across multiple geographies.

· Exceptionally flexible and forward-thinking as you must be ready for continuous change in direction.

· Willing to make decisions and be accountable for them.

· Excel at communication and can deliver effective presentations on data centre operations to customers, peers, and management.

· Willing to travel to other APAC regions on a regular basis.
