The primary task of an Administrative Assistant is to maintain and manage administrative tasks. This position is expected to carry out all assigned projects and regular duties. To perform all duties associated with the Administrative Assistant position, this team member should be able to perform multiple functions at once and manage regular duties while taking on additional projects as assigned.

An exciting opportunity is available to work within Pharmacy Department at University Hospitals Of Leicester NHS Trust. We are looking for an experienced administrator who shows passion, dynamism and a desire to work in a fast paced environment. The post holder will be required to support the Administration and Clerical Manager in providing administration support to the Senior Pharmacy Management team, and other senior members of staff within Pharmacy.

The post holder must possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. They will communicate with staff at all levels of the organisation, and with patients and relatives. A skilled and efficient use of Microsoft based systems is an essential requirement for this post as the individual is required to use Excel, Word and Outlook on a daily basis. The post holder will also be required to take minutes. Other duties include providing staff support, secretarial service, inputting staff details on Health Roster, monitoring and controlling department stock ordering and customer invoicing to minimise unnecessary expenditure and maximise timely income. You will also be required to maintain and report on pharmacy staff sickness, workload performance and metrics, and to undertake all general office duties. The successful applicant will be primarily based at Leicester Royal Infirmary but there will be a requirement to cover all three Hospital sites.
