Senior Administrative Assistant - Catering & Cleaning Services, Uist & Barra (4031)
37 hours per week, term time (40 weeks per year), Permanent Post
£25,660 - £28,155 per annum, inclusive of £2,430 Distant Islands Allowance per annum
Based in the Lionacleit Education Centre, the post holder will be required to:
- Manage the provision of a comprehensive clerical, administrative and staffing support service across all aspects of the service, to ensure that all resources are effectively and efficiently deployed.
- Support the Trading Operations Manager in all aspects of their work to ensure that all business plan objectives are adequately and timeously achieved.
- Monitor assigned budgets and staff.
Duties will include assisting the Trading Operations Manager in the management and administration of their respective areas of responsibility and progress issues on their behalf; Preparing reports for committee and management as required; Undertaking performance appraisals of assigned staff and develop appropriate training plan for areas of work; Arranging for supply staff as necessary and processing all relevant documentation associated with payroll for all Catering and Cleaning employees.
You must have knowledge of Financial Management Systems and Office Procedures. A good understanding and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications in particular Excel is essential. You must have the ability to accurately collate and analyse data and statistical information.
Salary for the above post is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance. Appointment to the post will be on the first point of the grade.
