Tobacco and Drug Statement
Tobacco use is a well-recognized preventable cause of death in the United States and an important public health issue. In order to promote and maintain a healthy work environment, Adventist HealthCare will not hire applicants for employment who either state that they are nicotine users or who test positive for nicotine and drug use.
While some jurisdictions, including Maryland, permit the use of marijuana for medical purposes, marijuana continues to be classified as an illegal drug under the federal Controlled Substances Act. As a result, medical marijuana use will not be accepted as a valid explanation for a positive drug test result.
Adventist HealthCare will withdraw offers of employment to applicants who test positive for Cotinine (nicotine) and marijuana. Main ResponsibilitiesBe the main point of contact for the sites, liaising and collaborating with the employer, customers, SME’s and regional colleagues to ensure effective and efficient contract delivery
To ensure facilities are fit for purpose in accordance with the allocation and ensure compliance with the contract
Identify and manage requirements for accommodation, waste, stores, grounds maintenance, janitorial services and cleaning
Be responsible for a multidiscipline team in respect of work scheduling, performance, attendance, behaviour, capability, welfare, H&S and record keeping
Manage records on behalf of the military such as stores and POL
Identify and ensure delivery of reactive maintenance tasks while scheduling PPM’s and ensuring statutory compliance
Assist with the management of contractors
Act as fire focal point ensuring buildings are compliant and records are up to date
Act as waste focal point for region ensuring compliance, identifying best practice and driving continuous improvement
Complete all relevant documentation utilising both IT and paper based systems.
The Ideal CandidatePeople management experience with a proven track record in performance management (Level 4 qualification desirable)
Knowledge of Health and Safety to a minimum of IOSH Managing Safely level (NEBOSH desirable)
Experience in management of vehicles, equipment and plant – an understanding of PEWER is desirable

We are currently looking for a Maintenance Manager to join the team at West Tofts on the outskirts of Thetford, in Norfolk. The successful person will have an in depth understanding of building services and Facilities Management (FM).
As Maintenance Manager, you will join the team who are responsible for Hard FM across the East region. You will assist I the management of reactive, planned and preventative maintenance tasks ensuring that all tasks are completed according to designated timescales. Liaise with all stakeholders to ensure effective maintenance delivery. Update maintenance and asset information utilising bespoke software packages. Write contract specifications, evaluate quotations, and manage contractors for reactive additional works tasks.

Main ResponsibilitiesTo manage a team of people being responsible for (but not limited to) managing performance, attendance, behaviour, capability, welfare, health and safety and record keeping
KPI management
To manage and carry out planned and preventative maintenance tasks
To ensure all assigned remedial and reactive maintenance tasks are delivered within contractual timeframes.
Ensure all works are compliant with statutory obligations such as CDM, Building Regulations/Standards, Fire Safety, Equality Act, Planning and Environmental Guidance
Liaise with all stakeholders to ensure effective maintenance delivery
Ensure maintenance and asset records are kept up to date, completing all relevant documentation utilising both IT and paper based systems
Evaluate quotations, and manage contractors for small valid jobs to support bought-in-services requirements
The Ideal CandidateWorking in a similar role managing Hard FM and/or technical services.
Property compliance legislation and best practice within a similar organisation. Ideally, with knowledge of SFG20 standards.
Managing Legionella and Asbestos Management Plans
Managing Health and Safety and writing task specific risk assessments and method statements. Ideally hold IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH qualification
Management of contractors ensuring CDM compliance.
Managing and updating CAFM and Asset Management Systems
Delivering service to tight deadlines and excellent quality standards.
Working to budgets to ensure best value.
Driving continuous improvement.
Be willing to do training to undertake AP and RP Duties (Attracts additional allowance).
Be willing to participate in on call duties.
