• Plan and propose any new development and cost down activities

• Investigate and study customer complaint. Initiate corrective action on the genuine customer complaint (which related to the formulations, specification and testing & provide report and counter measures)
• Modify the existing products to meet specific customer requirement, for instance colour, finishing/appearance, costing etc based on project basis
• To carry out testing of competitor’s products against our similar range of products and prepare report based on the finding
• To ensure all the lab equipment’s are well maintained and control.
• To carry out testing for rework old stock or problematic finished goods
• To liaise or propose any extra value-added testing or certificate for products
• To ensure all technical documentations are well maintaining for audit.
• Managed a team of chemists to meet technical KPI.
• Regional support to enhance formulation synergism.
• EHS compliance to technical and QC labs respectively.
• Bachelor Degree in Chemistry or equivalent
• Min 10 years working experience in paint/similar industries
• Good interpersonal and communication skills

The Actuarial Business Management team is looking for a self-motivated Actuarial Manager, that seeks to leverage on their actuarial expertise to drive business value. Responsibilities

• Prepare management reports and insightful actuarial results to support CFO and Appointed Actuary in delivering business value
• Understand business planning and forecasting key financial metrics for the Singapore business (Sales, NBV, Core Earnings) and explain business drivers versus actuals
• Work closely with other actuarial sub-teams (IFRS 17, Local, Inforce Management, Par and Reinsurance) to ensure consistency and build strong relationships with distribution channels
• Lead the NBV reporting function to deliver monthly and quarterly results and respond to questions from local management and Regional and Group stakeholders
• Provide guidance to develop team members, building strong team culture in a high performance team

Job Purpose

To strengthen the in-house actuarial capability in the area of general insurance and provide actuarial support to general insurance business.

The Job

· Performs valuation and assist in preparation of reserve review reports

· Supports implementation of target operating model for IFRS 17, including the assessment of insurance reserves, profit and loss.

· Collaborates with internal/ external stakeholders to price and develop GI products.

· Provide pricing guidance and review support across entities.

· Assists the Company in driving the GI business through experience and profitability analysis on various business lines.

· Performs business projections for business planning, stress scenario construction and stress testing under both RBC and IFRS 17 basis.

· Supports Reinsurance (RI) related assessment, such as optimal RI assessment, RI accounting and financial reporting.

· Develops and enhances in-house statistical capability using SAS software, which includes:

a) Periodic data preparation for valuation and pricing

b) Assist in the financial management of the general business

c) Support business units by generating required reports

· Provide technical support on other general insurance related matters, such as marketing, underwriting and claims management

· Takes accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risks.

· Maintains awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company.

· Highlights any potential concerns /risks and proactively shares best risk management practices.

Our Requirements

· Degree in Actuarial or relevant fields, and good progress in Actuarial examinations

· Excellent in statistical analysis, problem solving and communication skills

· Proficient in MS Excel and good knowledge of statistical packages and strong interest in programming (e.g SAS, SQL, VBA, Prophet)

· Familiar with general insurance, RBC2, reinsurance structures, IFRS17, and AS400 system data structure will be an advantage

· At least 5 years of relevant working experience

· Manage the Production Spreadsheet for various products

· Preparing test request for production running for the 2 production plants

· Check the raw material spec / stock file:

- Monitor Unstuffing for incoming cargo for urgent usage

- Check through COA and standby to arrange for test before unstuffing

- Arrange for urgent draw sample upon unstuffing:

- Ensure Sample sent to MLS

- Monitor Test Results availability before production

Position Overview:

Paratus Sciences is looking for an R&D Project and Operations Manager to join us at our Singapore site. Reporting to the Site Head and VP of Discovery Research, the focus for this role will be project management support for the R&D team, and managing site operations. The ideal candidate will have a background in the Life Sciences and experience in the biotech and drug discovery sector. You will collaborate closely with the Site Head and R&D team to coordinate the successful execution of R&D projects, optimize processes, and oversee operational aspects of the site. We are seeking a committed and collaborative team member who will thrive in a dynamic culture.

Responsibilities:

Project Management (primary responsibility)

• Serve as a coordinator on cross-functional teams to drive the successful execution of R&D projects.
• Develop and maintain project plans, timelines and milestones to track progress and ensure alignment with company goals.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration among team members, stakeholders, and external partners to align project goals and priorities.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, resolve issues, and ensure timely delivery of project deliverables.
• Coordinate project planning, scheduling, and milestone tracking to ensure timely delivery of project objectives.
• Create and maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including project plans, meeting minutes, and progress reports.

Operations Management (secondary responsibility)

• Oversee day-to-day operational activities to ensure efficient and effective functioning of the Singapore site.
• Manage site operations, including the coordination with facilities management, IT, and corporate services.
• Develop and implement operational processes, policies, and procedures to optimize workflow and productivity.

Budget and Resource Management

• Work closely with management to develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and expenditures.
• Monitor resource allocation and utilization to maximize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and resource optimization while maintaining high-quality standards.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's, Master’s or PhD degree in the Life Sciences or a related field; advanced degree or certification in project management (e.g., PMP) is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management within the biotech industry. Experience with operations management or related roles is a nice to have.
• Proven track record of successfully managing cross-functional teams and projects from conception to completion.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with the ability to build effective relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Proficiency in project management methodologies, software and other relevant tools.
• Experience in budget management and reporting would be considered a plus.
