Key Responsibilities

• Support R&D department in developing and applying raw materials.
• Source new materials for product development from Purchasing Dept.
• Perform quality checks on finished products and incoming materials.
• Maintain lab cleanliness and Pilot Plan organization.
• Assist in maintaining Food Safety Management system and documentation.
• Generate innovative raw material ideas and recipes.
• Modify and enhance existing raw materials.
• Design processes for scaling up from lab to production.
• Record experiments, formulations, and results; generate reports.
• Handle ad hoc tasks assigned by superiors.

About the Role

Responsible for providing actuarial services covering all aspects of the insurance business and financial control, including valuation calculations, statutory reporting, risk assessment and premium setting

• Prepare regular analyses and valuation calculations by product group / distribution channel in areas such as expenses and allowances, commission level
• Prepare statutory reporting to the regulatory authorities and management
• Report on functional strength, profitability, progress and specific portfolios
• Involve in tailoring the rate and setting the premium of individual insurance policies, calculating risk assessment and recommending policy surrender values and costs of policy changes
• Develop insurance products, establish premiums and advise on underwriting policy
• Support distribution channels in areas such as special quotations and product training
• Liaise with regulatory bodies on matters involving capital management / solvency

1. Responsible for R&D projects assigned and managing progress to meet targeted deadline

2. Formulation of recipes

3. To request for new raw materials or flavor sourcing for new product development to the Purchasing Dept;

4. To perform QC such as sensory, visual checks and raw materials check on all finished products produced by the raw materials manufacturing line and incoming raw materials or new raw materials;

5. To maintain the R&D laboratory;

6. To assist in the running and maintenance of HACCP quality system and its documentation.

7. Generating new raw materials ideas and recipes;

8. Designing processes and machinery for the production on a large scale based on new raw materials;

9. Keeping documents and writing of all trials and evaluations;

10. Writing daily reports;

11. Any other work as shall be assigned by the Company from time to time;

12. To assist in regulatory documents and control.

13. To train new R&D personnel.

Requirements:

With at least 3 years of experience in product development in a food industry.

Relevant research/experience in seasoning powder products

Qualification:

Diploma / Degree in Food Science

• Working Hours: 5.5 days, Mon – Fri (9 AM – 6 PM) / Sat (9 AM – 1 PM)
• Salary Package: Basic up to $3,500 + Yearly Bonus
• Duration: Permanent

Key Responsibilities

• To develop new products from ingredient sourcing, laboratory and kitchen trials to commercialization, focusing especially on sauces.
• Prepare product specifications, set up formulas and write technical reports and test run plans.
• Perform consumer sensory testing and shelf-life studies for pre-launch products.
• Ensure all product creation complies with customer, government and legal regulatory requirements within the country of use.
• To conceptualize new and innovative products.
• Generate innovative solutions to help grow and value-add to customers’ requirements within the budget set and manufacturing capability.
• Engage in R&D initiatives such as cost reduction, ingredient substitution/consolidation.
