Roles and Responsibilities:

• Experience monitoring and update to management for management action if necessary with updates to management for management action if necessary (25%)

Requirements:

Education: University graduate (Major in Actuarial Science / Mathematics)

Experience: 3 to 8 years of life insurance actuarial working experience (preferably with valuation experience)

Software skills: Strong proficiency in Excel, Prophet and DCS, some coding knowledge like Python will be a plus

Certifications: Progression (or completed) in actuarial examination

About the Role

The incumbent’s main responsibility is product pricing and development for new and innovative life insurance products, which includes regulatory product filing as well as product implementation. The incumbent is also responsible for managing financial work relating to Company’s various campaigns and initiatives.

• Work on pricing of new and existing life insurance products and services with internal and external stakeholders with a high level of accuracy.
• Analyse, monitor and evaluate key financial metrics which support initiatives to achieve improvement for the customer, stakeholders and shareholders.
• Review the product related documents.
• Continual assessment, identification and implementation for product improvement and campaigns.
• Support the delivery of various regulatory filing, e.g. MAS, SDIC, FATCA etc.
• Assist the necessary system implementation work, UAT testing, Day 2 enhancement.

Requirements

• A minimum of a bachelor's degree in actuarial science or an equivalent field with at least 1 year of experience in actuarial work.
• Demonstrated progress in actuarial professional exams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point etc)
• Knowledge of Prophet will be a plus.
• Strong communication adn stakeholder management skills
• Willingness to step outside your comfort zone and take on new challenges

Actuarial (Pricing Review and Governance), Analyst

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Assisting on product pricing review for life and group insurance products.
• Preparing financial assessment for campaigns and group insurance products.
• Assisting on the inforce management, i.e., crediting rate and claim experience.
• Assisting the new business product financial monitoring and supportability of bonus rate.
• Providing support for delivery of various internal and regulatory filing.
• Performing experience study for group insurance.
• Performing UAT on bonus and crediting rate change.
• Reviewing product documentation and conduct continual assessment to identify areas for improvement.
• Performing other duties and responsibilities periodically assigned by HOD in order to fulfil responsibilities under Actuarial department’s care.
