Duties and Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day financial matters, month-end and year-end accounts closing (such as assessing the adequacy of accruals/provisions), and preparation of the monthly and year-end audit schedules and financial reporting packages
• Liaise with various departments in the collection of information and documents
• Process internal charge and reclassification requests
• Process miscellaneous receipts and follow up on unaccounted sums
• Identify and perform clearing for offsetting transactions for balance sheet accounts
• Prepare bank reconciliation and resolve reconciling items
• Investigate and resolve user’s queries
• Prepare GST and other statistical submissions
• Assist on corporate tax, internal and external audit matters
• Work with Grants and Intercompany GL teams to resolve issues
• Participate in process improvement projects
• Any other ad hoc duties assigned by supervisor

Requirements

• At least a Diploma in Accountancy
• Higher qualified/experienced candidates will be considered for the Senior Assistant Executive position
• Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office such as MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Good communication skills; ability to communicate with various departments and levels

The incumbent shall be part of the Finance Shared Services (FSS) team responsible for the following:

Job Responsibilities:

• Generate payment proposals to effect payments via various modes e.g. cheques, transfers, interbank GIRO etc.
• Vet through invoices or payment requests.
• Monitor payments via Direct Debit Authorisation (DDA) and ensure payments are processed in a timely manner.
• Request funds from institution.
• Review and follow up on open items in bank clearing account.
• Follow up with payment requestor for reissuance of expired cheques and long outstanding reconciling items.
• Assess the withholding tax status of invoices from overseas vendors and file withholding tax return within stipulated timeline.
• Preparation of withholding tax schedule.
• Assist in mail sorting according to the planned duty roster.
• Train and guide junior staff and assist in resolving difficulties encountered by them.
• Other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities:

• Process invoices, payment requests and reimbursement claims accurately within the stipulated timeframe and in accordance to internal procedures and compliance with tax regulations.
• Follow up actively with the relevant parties to resolve problematic invoices, including sending periodic reminders to vendors to act on disputed invoices.
• Liaise with vendors and users to facilitate prompt processing of invoices including those under Direct Debit Authorisation (DDA).
• Accrue unprocessed invoices, payment request and reimbursement claims at month-end to meet month-end closing schedule provided by institution.
• Prepare and submit/post journals for reclassification and adjustments, recurring transactions within institutions’ timeline.
• Train and guide junior staff and assist in resolving difficulties encountered by them.
• Other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities:

• Customer master data creation and maintenance
• Process, verify and post billing requests in the system accurately and promptly in accordance to the Financial Policies and Procedures
• Monitor Accounts Receivable (AR) ageing report and follow up actively on collection
• Generate monthly statement of accounts and send to customers/ institutions
• Liaise with customers/institutions on billing matters/disputes
• Assist with month-end account closing and preparation of monthly AR ageing report, audit schedules, accruals and other month end reports where applicable
• Prepare inter-company balances confirmation and follow up with confirmation replies and recon items
• Other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum GCE ‘O’ level or Diploma in Accountancy or equivalent
• Experience in Accounts Receivable or Accounting is preferred; Candidates without experience are welcome to apply
• Experience in SAP and/or S/4Hana is preferred
• Experience in system enhancement and testing is preferred

Job Responsibilities:

• Monitor inter-company customer accounts, such as follow up on and resolve long outstanding invoices, including obtain certified true copy invoice.
• Prepare monthly inter-companies balance / transaction reconciliations, where necessary perform clarifications with relevant parties
• Quarterly prepare inter-company balances confirmation and follow up with confirmation replies and reconciling items
• Prepare and post inter-companies accrual journal (both seller and buyer)
• Perform cost allocation at month-end
• Perform monthly Inter-company netting
• Prepare audit schedules / reports
• Other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma or Degree in Accountancy or equivalent

• Responsible to perform bank reconciliations and ensure closure of GL accounts
