- Leads the Agency's global Disability strategy development, update, and implementation, providing guidance to bureaus and field missions on all aspects of USAID’s engagements with persons with disabilities.
- Advise USAID in its legislative mandate to facilitate and coordinate U.S. Government development activities related to
the rights and inclusion of persons with disabilities.
- Leads USAID’s engagements on disability inclusion with other U.S. Government Agencies, Donor organizations, Private Voluntary Organizations, U.S. Universities.
- Represents USAID in high-level conferences and meetings, for the purpose of Agency representation and professional interchange, and establishes and maintains effective working relationships with professional colleagues and institutions.
- Provides technical oversight and review of programs and policy across sectors focusing on disability rights and inclusion. Advises and guides Center, Hub, Office, Bureau, and Mission staff on rights and inclusion of persons with disabilities.
- Provides strategic programmatic direction and oversees and manages resources to support high visibility projects, consulting with professionals in various sectors.
