• Work closely with other members of the program team to ensure that the technology management processes are aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
• Develop and maintain workstream documentation, including project plans, status reports, and other project-related documentation.
What you'll need to succeed
· 10 to 15 years’ direct technology management, change management and delivery management experience in the asset management, insurance, banking & finance sectors, with a slant towards the front, middle or back-office systems.
· Professional qualification in technology and project management are preferred.
· Strong preference given to those who have led the implementation of internal technology management model, outsourced services in technology and vendor management.
· Experience leading projects related to investment transformation initiatives, such as technology implementations, process improvements, or other strategic initiatives.
· Strong project management skills, including the ability to develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets.

I've been engaged on a project to recruit an IT / Application Development Manager for a leading FMCG business in the South who have moved over 200 employees recently. You'll be split between their Chichester / Andover offices so will likely be based somewhere centrally around Hampshire, but commuting is feasible from most of the South East.
The is technical leadership role, responsible for managing a small team whilst providing technical best practice/direction to maximise their core ERP system.
Your New Role
The role will be diverse and challenging. From a people management perspective initially you'll have 3 direct reports (BA's/Product Owners) and will help to establish business processes, application functionality and technology solutions helping to translate requirements into functional and technical specifications. You'll lead continuous improvement initiatives and will have a thorough grasp of the SDLC.
You will have progressed from a technical background, acting as the lead Technical Architect and Analyst on all business system application changes. You'll be trusted to create a technical authority and framework and will be the go-to person internally for business applications and how to make them sing, beyond this you'll provide the link between customer, development team and any other third-party regarding software functionality throughout the products lifecycle.
By hiring a technical Dev Manager they expect this to act as an enabler to start bringing software in-house and custom building it, providing a chance to grow a development team into the 2nd half of 2024.
What you'll need to succeed
You need to have worked in an IT Development Manager position previously, responsible for optimising an ERP System and the suite of applications that sit within it. They are not prescriptive about the systems you've worked with previously (so could be IFS, Dynamics, Netsuite, SAP etc).
You should have managed a small team between 1-5 people, involved in appraisals, performance management and interviews.
We're looking for someone who embraces Agile and can introduce a DevOps culture to the business. You'll be the go-to person in the department for technical queries and for motivation, engagement and support. Someone who is confident in front of internal and external stakeholders and that can influence change and make sound technical suggestions to board level.
Ideally you'll have a degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering or a relevant technical discipline to be considered.
