Skills and Qualifications
Experience
Eight or more years of experience. This can include Product Management/Technical Product Management with at least three of these years in Digital Advertising/AdTech
Bachelors Degree Required, Masters Preferred
Track record of end-to-end product delivery and demonstrate the impact of the products you have shipped
Experience applying machine learning in product development
Experience owning product and roadmap strategy
Experience in Agile product development
Understanding existing and competitive performance advertising solutions (DSPs, publishers, etc.)
Comfortable dealing with data. Experience with SQL and data processing/data warehouses a plus
Comfortable balancing concurrent projects and managing tradeoffs of a product
Understanding and experience building consumer-facing AdTech products is a plus.

The Opportunity
This position works out of our office in Des Plaines IL for Abbott Molecular, a division of Abbott Laboratories, a global, diversified healthcare innovator with a legacy of pioneering work in medical diagnostics.
As the Senior Product Manager, Sexual Health, you will be working on highly visible projects within the molecular diagnostics business unit, and will be responsible for driving execution of the global brand marketing strategy. The Senior Product Manager shall maintain worldwide product expertise for products/franchises, including market sizes/trend share, customer needs and targeting, product performance/benefits/weaknesses/positioning. The person hired in this role will also provide on-going support of new product development including customer requirements definition, product concept validation, financial analysis, and securing Business Unit commitment through market launch.
Success will be measured against sales and margin expectations, sales force competency/knowledge level and market image.
What You’ll Work On
Maintain worldwide market expertise for products and franchises, including in-depth knowledge of competitor products and strategies, market trends and dynamics, market/franchise critical success factors, and customer needs.
Develop and update annual marketing plans/strategies including market analysis, customer segmentation and targeting, product positioning, competitive assessments, and SWOT or other situation assessment.
Create and develop strategies for new product commercialization.
Assess new markets and opportunities in support of BD and R&D.
Partner with global peers and in-market experts to build the brand to achieve business goals.
Ensure alignment of cross-functions at Headquarters and Regions to insight direction.
Liaison effectively with global stakeholders, both at Headquarters and in the Regions, in a matrix organizational design to bring plans to fruition.
As for every leadership position, this individual is Responsible for compliance with applicable corporate and divisional policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree (± 16 years) business or marketing an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
At least 5 years of substantial financial skills, market analysis and advanced communication skills.
At least 5 years of knowledge/ability to develop and execute a product launch.
At least 5 years of strong analytical skills as well as written and oral communication skills.
At least 5 years of experience being able to understand technical and scientific information.
At least 5 years of understanding and complying with Regulatory requirements.
Must be able to influence and motivate individuals from sales, marketing, and other functional areas to drive product sales.
Must be able to complete multiple projects simultaneously with tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
