You will be an integral member of the Actuarial Innovation & Analytics team. This role will expose you to how Actuarial could take customer-centric perspectives and iterative prototyping approach to solve complex problem more effectively. You will also get to apply new technology and data science/analytics to automate actuarial work as well as providing impactful insights to our business partners.
You will be responsible in the following area, with guidance from manager:
- Collaborate with colleagues within and outside actuarial departments (such as Business, Underwriters, and IT stakeholders) to deliver and implement cross functional data science/analytics project.
- Apply machine learning and advance analytics technique to provide new actionable insights and recommendation to the business, especially in area of actuarial dynamic pricing for short term business.
- Provide system enhancement requirement to IT colleagues in delivering data science/analytics program. Involve in testing & deploying the system enhancement.
- Monitor the success metrics of data science/analytics projects via implementation of MLOps and Business Dashboards.
- Provide pricing and analysis support to business stakeholders in areas of General Insurance and other short-term products.
- Provide wide ranging support to the team in delivery of innovative initiatives to enable company strategy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, Statistics, Data Science, or related fields with good progress in actuarial exams
- 2 years of working experience in actuarial function, with exposure in Direct GI, Insurtech, or related companies
- Advanced statistical (GLM, logistic regression, etc.) and machine learning modelling skills (GAM, GBM, etc.)
- Programming proficiency (such as R or Python) is preferred.
- Proficient in database management such as SQL, HUE, Spark, etc.
- Strong problem-solving, project management, and communication skills
- Confident to challenge status quo and take risk to drive towards maximizing results.
- Adaptable and open to dynamic working environment and willing to explore new ways of working.
