Shipping Responsibilities:
1. Coordinating and following up on incoming and outgoing shipments/deliveries with suppliers and forwarders.
2. Liaising with forwarders, shipping agents, customs, relevant government authorities, insurance agents, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth and timely delivery of shipments.

8. Computing on-cost for each shipment upon arrival.
9. Proper filing of shipment clearance records, purchasing and inventory records.
10. Ensure labelling compliance of importation and food regulation.
Purchasing & Inventory Responsibilities:
1. Maintaining and updating inventory information for all items in the inventory system.
2. Liaising with local and overseas suppliers for order placement.
3. Sourcing products and coordinating order replenishment.
4. Assisting in warehouse and inventory control.

The role
As a Supply Chain Manager, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. The Procurement & Supply Chain (P&SC) function is currently undergoing a transformation which will enable the successful candidate to become part of, and shape, a 'best in class' function. In Babcock, everything we do for our customers involves an element of supply chain management. Therefore, our suppliers play a critical role in enabling us to fulfil our commitments and live up to our purpose: 'Create a safe and secure world, together'.
Day to day, you'll report into the Head of Procurement & Supply Chain, Land Training. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading project-based procurement and supply chain activities within a number of specialist contracts in our resilience business, which delivers training and training support to the Emergency Services. This is a truly unique role, working with world-renowned public sector organisations, to deliver on some of their key training objectives.
This role is full time fixed term contract for 24-weeks working 37.5 hours per week and will be based at our Southwark site with hybrid working from home arrangements.
