Role responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining test cases for different autonomous function modules, together with the software development team
• To accompany the autonomous vehicle in routine testing and validation
• Carrying out the tests and data logging on test processes, complying to test rules and procedures
• Writing test reports
• Keeping records and following up on outstanding bugs/problems
• Software deployment/updating on vehicles

Required experience

• Diploma/Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Robotics, or related fields
• Experience with Robotics projects
• Familiarity with at least one component of Robotics (e.g., sensors, perception, planning, controls)
• Familiarity with C++ in a Linux environment
• Flexible problem-solver

Bonus experience

• Experience with ROS
• Experience with real world robotics deployment
• Experience with sensor calibration

You may also assist in field inspections and the preparation of inspection reports.

Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of engineering duties in various sub-disciplines of Civil Engineering such as: geotechnical, municipal/urban, water resources, materials and/or coastal engineering.
• Responsible for the development of engineering computations, material quantity take-offs, estimates, surveys and designs.
• Under close supervision of an experienced engineer, help develop the engineering products such as construction plans, technical reports, and calculations that meet customer quality requirements.
• Solve modern day engineering and design problems applying the principals and fundamental theories studied in a four-year university engineering program.
• Provide support for other engineering activities as required.
• Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as applicable.

EDUCATION

Must be enrolled in an Engineering curriculum at an accredited college or university and have completed typically 2+ year of studies in a major Engineering discipline.

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

• Requirements include PC literacy, a working knowledge of CAD, and a working knowledge of other computer software used to complete design assignments.
• Some related work experience and/or internships preferred.
• In addition, an Engineer in Training (EIT) Certificate is preferred.
• Requires an understanding of basic engineering processes and as a working knowledge of CAD and other PC software applications typically used in the engineering industry.

Job Purpose

This position is the system administrator of Ship Manager ERP system (smart PAL) purchase software used by various type of vessels.

To support user through developing functionality with software vendor, resolving the issue and standardize the procedure.

To implement purchase system to new ship managers though facilitation of gap analysis, preparation of use manual and conducing end-user training.

Job Description

Operational Responsibilities

SmartPAL Purchase module system administration

- Understand full functionality of purchase module.

- Follow up on purchase module issue and take initiative to resolve.

- Collect feedback from users and plan for future development of new functionality.

- Conduct User Acceptance Test of new functionality to deployment

- Monitor vendor’s work progress for development and issue fix and follow up whenever necessary.

- Budget and Actual management of new functionality development

- Create operation manual for end-user.

Implementation of Purchase Module

- Support implementation purchase module to new ship manager including conducting gap-analysis, prioritization of function development and User Acceptance Test coordination. Need to collaborate with various stakeholders to establish a implementation plan.

- Support implementation of mobile application of purchase module for onboard crew members.

Procurement strategy building

- Manage and create purchase related BI report based on the system date.

- Gathering the insight from BI report and prepare procurement strategy.

Job Requirement

Experience: At least 1 years of working experience in the purchase department (international procurement).

IT Skills: Proficiency in IT tools such as Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Business Intelligence (BI) tools.

Soft Skills: Good organizational and communication skills, a positive attitude, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and a team player. Project Management and problem solving skill.

Documentation Skill: Excellent and speedy documentation skills.

Negotiation Skill: Better have negotiation skills, but attitude of having dialogue with various stakeholders is important. Need to take a lead of discussion among stakeholders.
