Responsibilities
• Provide offsite and onsite client support, assisting with troubleshooting, design review, configuration, and escalated problem management.
• Act as a key Day-2 team member involved in analysing client and technical requirements, developing specifications, solution design, and development. May also consult on testing and deployment processes.
• Collaborate with onsite teams, stakeholders, and third-party vendors to address and resolve critical issues.
• 24x7 standby on call support for P1 and P2 incident.
• Documenting technical points inside incident report and prepare to review with stakeholders for amendment in regular basis.
• Documenting all operations, changes network diagram, and configuration review in associated Runbook.
• Regularly reviewing and recommending improvements to the existing network Infrastructure.
• Implementing changes and updates as per Customer business requirements. Implementation of critical changes need to be done outside of business hours.
• Conduct briefings and regular training sessions for fellow engineers and the NOC team.
• Review of Implementation plans and presentation to Change management.
• Performing Risk Assessment and bug scrub reviews on vulnerabilities.
Requirements
• Degree in Computer Engineering or related
• Must be Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) with extensive experience in routing and switching.
• At least 5-8 years of professional technical experience in software development, systems design and deployment, or networking and infrastructure within a large-scale MNC technology services environment.
• Mandatory requirement: Experience in Cisco SDA setups, DNAC, and ISE Integration.
• Experience designing, building, and troubleshooting complex LAN and large WAN.
• Expertise in routing/switching technologies, including MPLS IPVPN, BGP, OSPF, etc.
• Extensive hands-on experience with LAN switches/routers: Cisco and Huawei.
• Familiarity with Lantronix and Huawei DWDM.
• Exposure to both Cisco and Huawei Wireless Infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco UCS.
• Able to perform device staging and compliance checks on both Cisco and Huawei devices.
• Experience in network automation via scripting, and knowledgeable in Ansible and compliance review.
• Experience designing and building network security (Checkpoint, Juniper, Palo Alto, Fortigate, Cisco firewall, IDS/IPS, VPN, SSL) and content networking (cache, load balancer, F5, etc.).
• Experience using ServiceNow, SolarWinds, and Splunk for managing network operations.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes is a must.
• Willing to provide onsite support at Tuas/western side of Singapore.
• Comfortable with occasional outdoor support due to data centre/network equipment locations
