• The Student and Academic Services Officer is to provide extensive administration support to academic staff and maintain the applicable academic systems for school.

Job Duties:

1. Assessments and Progressions

• Acquire and maintain up-to-date knowledge of the examinations systems, including policies, procedures, rules and regulations laid down by school.

• Receive and process invoices for marking fees, ensuring accuracy of the entries and payment processed within timeline for submission to the Finance Department for disbursement.
• Manage assessment moderation in accordance with each respective education partner’s policies, ensuring outcomes from the Unit Coordinators are sent to the lecturers for actions if required.

4. University Procedures

• Ensure student academic progress is in accordance with regulations.

• Provide support at stakeholder meetings, as required.
• Act as the initial point of contact for staff and stakeholders - promoting events and training opportunities.
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with both the University of Cumbria and the Institute of Chartered Foresters.
• Assist with promotion and engagement events, promoting the objectives of the programme.
• Line manager to one member of staff.
