Make accurate assessment of risk to self and others and agree an individual risk management plan. Identify any safeguarding concerns and agree a plan to address these in consultation with trust Safeguarding Leads. Assess and integrate issues surrounding work and employment into the overall therapy process TRAINING AND SUPERVISION Attend and fulfill all the requirements of the IAPT approved supervision training Offer Caseload Management and Clinical Skills supervision to qualified and trainee EMHPs in the service Identify training needs across the Low Intensity team and assist in the development of routes for Continuing Professional Development CPD in co-ordination with the Clinical Supervisor Contribute to EMHP training sessions where appropriate Attend both Internal and External training events as identified through supervision and in Personal Development Reviews PDRs Undertake searches of evidence-based literature and research to assist Clinical Supervisors and team members in evidence-based CBT practice Develop and maintain knowledge about, and links with, local statutory and voluntary services to which clients can be signposted. PROFESSIONAL Ensure that client confidentiality is protected at all times. - see belo Be aware of and keep up to date with advances in the spheres of treatment for common mental health problems Ensure clear objectives are identified, discussed and reviewed with MHST Team Leaders on a regular basis as part of continuing professional development Attend regular Line Management, Clinical Skills and Case Management Supervision Keep up to date all records in relation to Continuing Professional Development and ensure personal development plan maintains up to date specialist knowledge of latest theoretical and service delivery models/developments Ensure annual professional EMHP registration is maintained with either the British Psychological Society (BPS) or the British Association of Behavioural & Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) Please note: New starters have a 6 month probationary period. This, together with the induction process aims to create a positive supportive working environment allowing new employees to learn key elements of their role over a reasonable timescale. Candidates not currently employed by the Trust who attend an interview for non-qualified Band 1-5 posts are required to undertake numeracy and literacy assessments.
