About The Role
We are looking for an experienced andindependentlycapable in-house counsel to join our growing team on a permanent basis to support the business with legal support from an end to end perspective.
The role willsupport the General Counsel and UK Wholesale Legal team in the provision of a high quality and commercially focused legal advice to support the needs of our UK wholesale businesses. You will work directly with business teams, providing day-to-day advice, serving as lead counsel on new deals, business models, resolving issues that arise in existing commercial relationships and handling legal disputes and enquiries. The successful candidate will play a key role in the legal team, updating the team's operational processes, including creation of templates and involvement in roll out of legal processes to the business and positioning the legal team as a centre of excellence within Alliance Healthcare.
This role will suit a pragmatic lawyer who will thrive in a challenging, complex, busy and diverse roleina fast-paced, market leading and entrepreneurial business.Someone with commercial acumen who can 'hit the ground running' in a busy team, quickly getting to grips with and understanding how the business works.

About the Candidate
The successful candidate will have significant post qualification experience, either in private practice or in-house and will have experience of commercial contracts as well as a knowledge of data protection, competition and general contract law.
This role requires someone that has strong technicalknowledge who can providecommercially focusedadvice.Excellent written and verbal communication skills and specifically in relation to drafting agreements and negotiations.
A team player and consensus builder, you should be able towork effectively with commercial colleagues of all levels in the organisation and be able to understand and provide pragmatic, incisive and clear advice on complex business issues.
