Your new role

What you\'ll need to succeed
We're looking for strong Java / Spring developers (5+ years experience), ideally with Microservices. In helping them modernise you'll champion Extreme Programming (XP) practices such as test-driven development (TDD), refactoring, continuous integration (CI) and pair programming.

You must have experiencing mentoring other Developers and will be a go-to person within the team for technical guidance.

Development experience with cloud services (AWS, Google, Azure etc) and associated architectural styles and principles will be important, and you'll be comfortable using Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Selenium, Jira and Confluence (or similar).

They are open to experience with any relational database (SQL Server, Oracle, NoSQL) and some experience with JavaScript frameworks would be a nice to have (Angular, React etc).

Developer - Product Lifecycle, PLM Systems, DevOps
Market Rate (Inside IR35) Umbrella

My client is an instantly recognisable consultancy firm, who urgently require a PLM Developer to join an exciting project at a crucial time for an end client.

Key Requirements:

• Demonstrable experience working as a PLM Developer in a complex environment.
• Extensive experience with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management)/CAD
• Proven hands-on experience with configuring Teamcenter and other PLM Systems
• Ability to design and develop PLM solutions and reviewing business requirements.
• Experience of DevOps and Agile Delivery
• Strong knowledge of various Data formats, such as documents and multiple CAF formats
• Demonstrable ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication skills and comfortable driving process improvements

Nice to have:

• Previous experience working as a PLM Developer in the nuclear or construction industry.
• Familiarity with relevant regulations and industry practices
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• Advanced degrees and relevant certifications
• Immediately available

Job Description

• Solid technical skills, able to communicate effectively with business, understand business needs, and provide appropriate technical solutions.
• Responsible for designing and delivering back-end systems, including module division, interface design, data flow, code writing, etc., to ensure that system implementation is consistent with business goals.
• Evaluate and select appropriate technology stacks, frameworks, and tools to ensure system reliability, performance, and scalability, and integrate them into the overall architecture.
• Lead a delivery team of 2-5 people for project implementation, provide technical guidance and participate in code writing, solve architecture, and design issues, ensure system quality and maintainability, and ensure project technical risks are controlled.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree relevant discipline is preferred.

• At least 8 years or more years of relevant experiences. Experiences within the gaming industry is a plus.
• Strong technical proficiency, capable of effective communication with business stakeholders, comprehending business requirements, and delivering appropriate technical solutions.
• Design and implement backend systems, including module division, interface design, data flow, and code development, to ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Evaluate and select suitable technology stacks, frameworks, and tools to ensure reliable, high-performing, and scalable systems, integrating them into the overall architecture.
• Experience in team lead capacity is preferred.
