• Work to develop a proficiency in various safety and health programs.
• Contribute to the development, implementation, and management of site Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) training.
• Review new processes and process modifications for EHS impacts o Prepare for, and participate in, Corporate, Regulatory, and ISO EHS Audit Programs.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferably in Environment, Health & Safety (EHS).
• Certified Workplace Safety and Health Officer
• Certified Fire Safety Manager

Media Industrial Engineering (IE) team is responsible for factory capacity as well as capital planning to support recording media operation (RMO) in JBS and Woodlands. The team is part of a bigger worldwide operations planning team.

Reporting to the Industrial Engineering Manager, the incumbent will:

• Responsible for overall factory capacity planning to meet customer volume demand.
• Work with factory functional departments to increase factory capacity through process yield improvement, overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) and cycle time improvement.
• Continuous improvement on IE capacity planning methodology to improve planning accuracy, efficiency including transparency to all relevant departments by developing a capacity optimization model with database and date processing techniques.

Seagate Singapore Design Center (SSDC) is hiring a Firmware/Software Engineer in the product development team. This is an exciting opportunity to get involved with new product development.

The Firmware Product Development group is responsible for the development of new technologies and features to enhance the reliability and performance of the disc drives. The team has a deep technical expertise in firmware design and a passion for developing cutting-edge solutions. The group supports nearline hard disc products. The team is involved in staging of new technologies and the definition of the hardware and firmware architecture for the next generation HDDs.

About the Role:

The Firmware/Software Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining drive level embedded real time code, and infrastructure tools driving engineering efficiency. The intern will work through different aspects of product development, including IP staging (C programming) and firmware tools-development (Python).

• Design, Develop, Test, and Integrate new features into Hard Disc Drive (HDD) products.
• Work closely with HDD firmware engineers to develop tools that will be instrumental in the code development life cycle.
