On behalf of the hiring company which is an established engineering company, we are looking for a suitable candidate to join them as a Quantity Surveyor.

Tender

• To keep track all tender documents, drawings, and corrigendum based on the document control process.
• To verify the tender drawing/detail and prepare the tender enquiry.
• To assist the Superior in calling for quotations, selecting qualified subcontractors/vendors, and distributing the relevant tender documents.
• Perform quantity take-off for tender projects based on the set timeline.
• Assist with tender evaluation and preparation of tender documents for submission.
• Ensure all documentary evidence and contemporary records are properly documented, filed, and complied with for substantiation purposes.
• Able to read M&E drawings.

Execution

• Site verifications of variations and taking records for submissions of claims.
• to assist the project manager/designated staff in evaluating and certifying completed work.
• Assist in verifying sub-contractors' claims
• prepare and assist in monitoring the progress of claims submission and payment (this shall be under the contract manager’s duty)Monitor all orders in execution and report on the balance amount.

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Quantity Survey or Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Certain knowledge & experience in M&E system requirements.
• Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Able to work independently with min supervision.
• Good knowledge and skill set in Microsoft Office.
• Quick learner and willing to explore new skill sets/technologies.

The Role

This position will be responsible for leading the maintenance, repair and renovation of the mechanical and electrical systems in the buildings.You will manage service providers to implement rectification works, and assist in overseeing all M&E upgrading projects in compliance with building safety requirements and standards.

Job Responsibilities

• Implement preventive maintenance programmes for all M&E systems.
• Procure service contracts and liaise with relevant service providers to implement rectification works and M&E services.
• Overseeing all M&E upgrading projects by proper planning, control, organise and monitor of property M&E operations.
• Ensure that M&E operations are consistent with the asset objectives and standards of accreditation or regulatory agencies, including compliance with building safety requirements and standards.
• Propose, plan, coordinate capital asset enhancement/upgrade projects, and tenant improvement works.
• Supports the budgeting process and tracks the cost controlling of expenses.
• Prepares and analyse cost and variances for monthly management reporting.
• Manage a group of Executives and Technicians to ensure quality and productivity is consistent and provide supervision as well as guidance.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical) or equivalent.
• At least 5 to 6 years of relevant hands-on experiences in maintaining M&E building systems.
• Possess sound knowledge in tenant management, building maintenance, technical services and construction work.
• Experience in building automation system would be an added advantage.
• Proficient in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint and Excel). Experience working with SAP will be an added advantage.
• Certification as a Fire Safety Manager will be an added advantage.
• Strong leadership, planning, communication skills and good interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to manage operations and projects simultaneously.

Summary

Details

• Ensure that all design aspects take into consideration of Cost-effectiveness
• Assist in verifying and reviewing technical aspects of Design development design
• Assist in attending to enquires/ site visits/requests from other departments or overseas agents (Guided by seniors)
