• Manages and oversees treasury controls, compliance, cash flow sufficiency, forex hedges.
• Comply with all tax regulatory requirements. Oversee timely and accurate filings such as GST, WHT and work with services provider on corporate tax filings.
• Provide support to holding company, subsidiary accounts and head office costs.
• Supervises a Payables officer and works alongside a management and systems accountant.
• Works with different teams in the local, divisional and global organisation for compliance, reporting and to achieve various targets set by higher management.

Job Requirements:

• Degree / Diploma in Accountancy, ACCA or equivalent.
• Preferable to have at least 3 years similar industry experience.
• Preferable to have GST and SFRS background.

Your new company
I am working with a small established retail business based in London with a global presence. As a result of ongoing success, they are looking for a dynamic, energetic Financial Controller to join the team to help them grow the business. Working closely with the team, you will be responsible for taking the business to the next level and understanding the overall business functions.

Your new role
The key responsibilities include -

• Responsible for the day to day, month-end reporting including cash flow, invoicing, tracking the company's financial performance and status
• Make sure all statutory reporting is completed and inline with compliance
• Lead the business in the completion of budget, forecast and strategic plan.
• Provide commercial business support with key insights, analysis and execution of the business strategy
• Make strategic recommendations to improve current processes and improve the profitability of the business
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders on a regular basis

What you'll need to succeed

• Professional Accounting Qualification with 10+ years experience, retail industry experience preferred
• Worked with international businesses
• Strong ability to create relationships with stakeholders
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
• A confident, honest, approachable and energetic individual who wants to learn the overall business and be hands-on
• Hands-on work ethic - willing to get stuck in
• Taken a business through an exit process
