The Head of Assessment & Knowledge oversees the certification assessments and establishes the assessment processes and policies. He is responsible for the alignment and implementation of IHRP’s assessment and knowledge programmes, and human capital research and analysis. Together with the CEO and the Management Team, the Head of Assessment ensures that the assessment agenda and strategy is aligned with the IHRP’s mission and strategic initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities

a) Mission, Strategy, and Planning

• Work with the CEO and Management Team on the strategic vision of the IHRP, including determining the appropriate learning outcomes and assessment criteria.

b) Management of Certification Assessments

• Develop and oversee a process for assessing certified professionals’ competencies.

• Lead and oversee the engineering team, marketing, fundraising, quality assurance, clinical trial & regulatory activities to achieve investment objectives/ milestones
• Lead development of product commercialization and regulatory strategies, including working with the team to select & manage subcontractors and vendors
• Lead the business development, fundraising and sales & marketing efforts
• Lead and oversee the company finances and audit preparations
• Implement and manage company intellectual property portfolio and registration, clinical trials, and regulatory plans with the objective of having the product commercialized based on milestones
• Increase visibility of the company by representation at conferences, trade shows and outreach to clinical partners and corporates

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical / Biomedical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• At least 8 years’ working experience in project management
• Previous startup experience, including raising capital preferred
• Good technical knowledge in medical device would be a bonus
• Strong business acumen, able to drive and execute business model and sales and marketing strategy
• Good understanding of regulatory submissions (FDA) and ISO13485
• Effective communicator with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong leadership skill. Able to lead the team in continuous improvement
• Proficient in budgeting, forecasting and corporate finance
• Strong analytical skills, with problem-solving abilities in ambiguous situations
