Your new role
It is as a Senior/ Principal Mechanical Engineer that will excel in engineering design, the management of projects and the management of teams, working on multiple projects including multi-million pound schemes. • Proven experience (6+ years) in mechanical engineering design within the building services industry.
• Experience leading and developing senior and more junior engineers.

Your new role They are looking for an Acoustic Engineer / Consultant to join their team to support the growth of our business, based in Walton-On-Thames, Surrey. As a leading consultancy they design and install noise control equipment for the construction industry, predominantly in central London (80%), and in the home counties, but also throughout the UK.
The position involves being part of a team carrying out a varied and interesting range of work requiring a broad range of skills and knowledge of acoustics.
Position Overview:

• On-site survey work
• Data acquisition and analysis
• Noise modelling, calculation and report writing (CadnA)
• Project accounting and time management (Using in-house bespoke software currently in development)
• Client liaison and fee proposals
• Field work and site meetings

In addition, they offer the opportunity to get involved in noise control engineering, product design, development and testing.
What you'll need to succeed

• A working knowledge of either BS4142, BB93 or BS8233 assessments.

Your new role
The successful engineer should also be confident in their abilities and have the drive to always work to the best of their ability. You will be technically proficient with the use of mechanical design within a variety of different building types. You will have strong communication skills and have competent working knowledge of industry-specific software.




What you\'ll need to succeed


Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services, experience in the building services industry. You will ideally have exposure to clients, experience contributing to design team meetings and experience designing using industry-specific software.

Mechanical Design Engineer - Nottingham - £40,000 - £55,000 18.7% pension contributions

They are looking to recruit an Intermediate to Senior Mechanical Engineer to work with our internal project team, comprising of structural and mechanical engineers, architects and other specialised consultants, to create and develop designs that meet client briefs. ​

Your new role
• Liaising with other design professionals to create and develop designs that meet and satisfy clients briefs, ensuring this is within budget, time, and quality constraints.
• Acting as the electrical services specialism focal point for each individual project within the team for all statutory compliance and specialism project management.
• Managing projects effectively to ensure all work is carried in accordance with legal and technical regulations, codes of practice or guidelines.
• Delivering professional concept designs which recognise and minimise the lifecycle costs of the assets and simplify their future routine maintenance requirements.
• Providing professional and technical expertise and advice to all internal and external customers as required, ensuring quality standards are maintained.
• Coaching others as required to ensure best practice and quality of service is maintained.
• Assisting in producing project financial reports and projections for each individual project.

What you\'ll need to succeed
• Good interpersonal skills to work both internally with multi-disciplined teams and with clients and customers.
• Proven experience in designing, site surveying and project management of multiple building projects.
• Ability to successfully project manage complex multi-disciplinary projects, including budgets and final accounts.
• HNC in Building Services Engineering/Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) or willing to work towards.
• Excellent customer service skills and actively seeks ways to improve services and outcomes for clients.
• Ability to problem solve to meet operational targets and prioritising the resources available.
• Keeping up to date with statutory legislation, building regulations, industry good practice and guidance.
• Knowledge of RIBA stages of work, building services engineering design materials and technologies.
