This role has a focus on construction drilling equipment and will be reporting directly to VP R&D and Product Management, Surface Drilling. Your Mission

As Product Manager for construction surface drills, you will be leading the product offering development by creating the future offering strategy and vision. You translate long and short-term customer needs to technical requirements and work with the engineering team to develop solutions to meet those needs. You are also a business case owner and sponsor for new development projects in your area of responsibility where you make sure new products meet the acceptance criteria before launch.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Technical and business ownership of the products in your area of responsibility, including both new product development and lifecycle management of existing products.

Key Responsibilities

1. Managing projects and programs in area of responsibility, and ensures that necessary preliminary activities (e.g., determination of outcomes, milestones, viability studies, and resource planning, among others) are completed to allow for effectiveness and focus during later stages of projects.
2. Ensures that all projects and programs assigned are completed in accordance with predetermined requirements, with specific attention to product/process specifications, project/program costs, resource utilization, and timeliness for completion.
3. Ensures that all phases of project, program and/or process development are documented and that information required in other functional areas is reported, disseminated, or transferred, as appropriate. Ensures compliance with company policies including (but not limited to) engineering/lab notebooks, patents, Intellectual property, confidentiality, ISO, safety and others as required. 
4. Ensures that the utilization of all material and financial resources is carried out in an effective manner to ensure maximum productivity for the area.
5. Effectively assigns work to subordinate staff, providing for professional development and coaching.
6. Responsible for departmental budgets and spending requirements.
7. Effectively utilizes common engineering technology and software packages for optimization of design development activities and timelines to ensure rapid commercialization.

Lead a high performance team comprising of product test engineers. Create next generation test strategies to effectively protect customers from product defects. Execute cost reduction projects to improve test efficiencies and reduce overall cost of testing. Clearly communicate to all stake holders including executives on targets, challenges, help needed and status. Break down barriers for the team on successful execution of projects meeting all goals

U.S. Salary Range:

$108,000.00 - $148,500.00

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
