The Advocacy, Community and Engagement (ACE) Team leads Rainbow Centre’s communications and partnerships, serves as a channel to amplify our work, bridge clients towards stronger acceptance and shape the narrative of disability inclusion in Singapore.
The Senior Executive for Communications and Engagement plays an integral role in elevating awareness of Rainbow Centre’s impact among strategically important audiences. The postholder shapes communications and materials to inform, educate, and inspire key audiences including press, potential and existing funders, and internal and external stakeholders to connect with Rainbow Centre’s vision and mission.
This position also supports the department’s partnership initiatives for volunteers and donors.
Critical Work Functions:
1. Maintain Organisation Branding and Public Relations
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders on projecting a positive and consistent corporate identity and image, and aligned to the vision, mission and values of Rainbow Centre to enhance brand awareness and reputation
- Establish and manage a positive working relationship with the key relevant media in support of Rainbow Centre’s corporate image, publicity, marketing and crisis management objectives
- Assist in managing and reviewing Rainbow Centre’s corporate identity and image for timely evaluations and recommendations for change
- Prepare and produce media releases, media kits, and other publicity and corporate identity collaterals to ensure brand consistencies and identify inconsistencies
- Monitor and report on media and online coverage and discussion of Rainbow Centre and issues related to its work and interests
- Maintain corporate templates for use by Rainbow Centre staff, which enable consistent application of the organisation’s brand
2. Develop Marketing & Communication Plans in Alignment with Overall Strategy
- Work under guidance of Director to develop and implement an annual communications plan for key audiences including press, potential and existing funders, and internal and external stakeholders
- Work cross-functionally across departments to develop integrated marketing campaigns for organisation programmes and initiatives
- Develop and implement campaigns for Rainbow Centre’s programmes and services
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness and impact of the campaigns
- Report budget utilisation and spending against department key performance indicators within approved departmental financial budget
- Support delivery of all online and offline advertising and marketing activities within budget
3. Manage Marketing and Communication Channels
- Elevate awareness of Rainbow Centre’s impact by developing informative and engaging communications and materials on various platforms
- Manage and execute marketing communications plan and content marketing initiatives across RC's digital channels
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders on a working-level to adopt new digital marketing technologies into existing marketing processes
- Cultivate relationships with reporters and press outlets to place thoughtfully timed, high-profile features about Rainbow Centre’s social impact projects, and keep a pulse on potential outlets and trends
- Monitor effectiveness of all communication channels to identify areas of improvement
- Support internal communication initiatives such as newsletters to improve employee engagement
- Work closely with internal teams to manage the organisation’s website and oversee regular content update
Candidate Requirements:
- A good Diploma or Degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or other relevant fields
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in a relevant role(s)
- Demonstrated exposure in corporate communications and/or marketing
- Exposure in conceptualising, planning and implementing campaigns, as well as developing informational and marketing materials and collaterals will be an advantage
