- The responsibilities described are for the full performance level. At developmental grade levels, assignments will be of more limited scope performed with less independence, and limited complexity.
- Establish and manage stakeholder relationships to coordinate with subject matter exports, support product development and approvals, and maintain awareness of immigration and Verification Division policy, process and program changes.
- Review and analyze immigration policy and system changes to document Status Verification Operations’ (SVO’s) Responses and Comments for E-Verify and SAVE cases as well as updates in Response Guide, Standard Operating Procedures and other tools.
- Research, plan and develop plain language updates that specifically support SVO’s Examiners in manually verifying immigration status, employment eligibility and other agency requested information in resolving cases in Status Verification System.
- Participate in and lead special studies, working groups, and projects involving a variety of stakeholders.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for a portfolio of immigrant, nonimmigrant, and or humanitarian topics, systems, and resources.
- Use critical thinking skills to analyze issues and identify opportunities; use creativity and resourcefulness to develop and implement new solutions and initiatives that support Status Verification Operations.
- Review and analyze statistical data related to second and third step cases as well as SVO performance in order to develop recommendations aimed at resolving issues, improving efficiencies, and changing behaviors.
- Communicate clearly, both orally and in writing, to audiences of various sizes and at a variety of levels within the organization.
- Develop, coordinate, and present trainings and briefings to a variety of audiences, including SVO Examiners.
