SALARY: £32,367-34,070 per annum

HOURS: Full-time (35 hours per week)
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.

We have an exciting entry-level opportunity for a junior Software Engineer in the Finance Engineering team at Lloyds Banking Group, where you will be working with various stakeholders in the development of a new GCP Environment Build predominantly working with Finance Data Engineers who will be defining both data mapping and downstream consumption and integration requirements.
The successful candidate will also be supported through to complete a GCP qualification within the first sixer months of joining the team; a qualification which is key part of our commitment to ensuring the highest level of expertise and skill in our GCP team.

Qualifications and Experience

Academic (i.e. relevant degree/qualification) or commercial knowledge of software engineering (with exposure particularly to Java and/or Python and of Terraform and/or Powershell)

Experience of having been part of a team using Github, source code management and managing change

Practical experience of designing low-level design documents
Behavioural Skills

Being a keen and curious learner, with a personal commitment to self-development and continuous improvement

Being able to pick up new skills quickly and efficiently, and work under minimal supervision when required
And any experience of these would be really useful

Exposure to GCP cloud tooling

JIRA/Confluence, ServiceNow - Incident, Change and Problem Management
Please also note that you will need to be working towards or be willing to work towards a GCP qualification within 6 months of starting this role with us.
