JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: Assistant to the Management Team Reports to: Senior Receptionist/Practice Manager Accountable to: Practice Manager & GP Partners Hours: As agreed OVERVIEW This is a role established to support the practice manager and management team in carrying out day-to-day activities and to provide an element of cover or source of advice in the event of their absence. The post-holder will work closely with, and under the direction of, the practice manager to improve standards across a wide range of clinical and administrative activity. Executing tasks as directed by the Practice Manager related to change management and continuous improvement. Assisting the Practice Manager in monitoring compliance with health and safety regulations, offering guidance and leadership to staff and completing risk assessments. Provide administrative support for compliance registers, and ensuring DBS checks are conducted Compiling and sustaining precise and comprehensive HR records that include training records. Assisting the Practice Manager in responding to and managing complaints. Coordinating both internal and external meetings, including Organising Patient Participation Group (PPG), preparing agendas, presentations and generating minutes. Assisting the Practice Manager in maintaining the practice online presence. Assist in reviewing and updating of practice policies, procedures and other practice documents. Inducting new staff. Creating job adverts and publishing on NHS jobs, collating applicants and assisting in shortlisting and the interview process. Our multi-disciplinary team includes 2 GP's, 4 ANPs, Clinical Pharmacists, Practice Nurses, HCAs all supported by a strong administration and reception team. Job Purpose To assist in the delivery of care planned and assessed by the Registered Nurses, and other registered healthcare professionals. Undertake the escort of patients to Theatre/other Departments under the direction of the registered nurse (when deemed competent). To support nutritional needs of patients by assisting with feeding and drinking, reporting on concerns about dietary intake to senior staff. An awareness of skin integrity over pressure points, recognising and reporting all adverse findings to senior staff. To recognise the importance of health education and teaching of patients and carers, and refer patients to senior staff Document and sign for all observations and care given with counter signature from a registered practitioner.
