PROJECT MANAGEMENT MANAGER

Woods Bagot is hiring a Project Management manager with the primary tasks of, design leadership, business development, and team management.

Key Responsibilities

Practice Leadership and Management

· Provide leadership and motivation to the Singapore Studio and the Singapore Workplace Interiors team

· Establish and foster relationships with existing and new clients, afford new project opportunities, and collaborate with the Business Development / Marketing / PR + Comms (BDMC) Team to prepare proposals to pursue new projects

· Help create and successfully execute the business plan for the studio

· Maximize profitability while supporting design excellence

· Foster a commitment to exceptional client service

· Provide appropriate project staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation

· Provide mentorship to others within the practice

· Develop and review fee proposals, budgets, and financial projections

· Utilize and encourage the best uses of technology for design, presentation, and production

· Manage the design process by:

· ensuring the execution of necessary research to provide a thorough understanding of client needs, leading to responsive design solutions

· communicating design intent to clients in a clear, compelling way

· incorporating design requirements and goals to demonstrate creative and unique design solutions

· overseeing the preparation and delivery of design presentations to the clients and coordinating with consultants to achieve design goals on schedule and within budget

· ensuring that graphic representations and construction documents clearly and accurately convey design intent

· Coordinating with the project managers to ensure and secure all necessary approvals in a timely manner

· Stay informed about new products, technologies, and trends

· Engage clients in dialogues that respectfully challenge and expand their ideas about appropriate design solutions

Business Development and Marketing

· Establish and maintain close relationships with clients to win business

· Collaborate with other Woods Bagot offices to increase opportunities and revenue from Global Corporate clients

· Strategize with the Marketing Group and office leadership on the Business Development approach for specific opportunities

· Identify new and prospective project opportunities, pursue the selected opportunities, and coordinate with the Marketing Group to develop opportunities for growing the practice

· Work closely with the Marketing Group to prepare fee proposals and write and/or edit appropriate sections of proposals

· Work with the Marketing Manager to integrate strategy and goals for the Interiors group into the marketing plan for the Singapore Studio

· Work closely with the marketing team to create presentations and other collateral materials to support business development efforts

· Provide content for public relations activities for press releases, feature articles, and advertisements

· Join professional, trade, and industry organizations and attend networking events, seeking opportunities to participate in seminars, panels, and speaking opportunities

· Participate on juries at schools and industry awards programs

Staff Development

· Recruit talent to grow the practice

· Lead ongoing dialogue within the interiors group and with the practice at large regarding design philosophy, approach, and process

· Mentor, coach, and motivate teams and individuals within the practice

· Foster an environment of mutual respect and trust among team members as the group continues to grow and develop

· Create opportunities for continuing education and professional development, including site visits, lectures, “Lunch and Learns,” etc.

· Encourage staff exploration for continued innovation and design excellence

Requirements:

· A degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a closely related field (or the international equivalent)

· At least twelve (12) years of experience working in the Interior Design, Architecture field

· At least five (5) years of experience leading and managing projects

· At least five (5) years managing a team

· Tertiary Qualifications in Interior Design / Architecture

· Tertiary Qualifications in Business or Project Management highly desirable

About the role

To support the continuous growth and expansion of Woods Bagot in Southeast Asia, our Singapore Studio is seeking high-calibre candidates for an Interior Designer, Workplace to join the project team in delivering several significant global Workplace projects. You will mainly support the Project Leader/Designer in the production of a project:

Responsibilities

• To assist the Project Designer from the Conceptual Design process to the Design Development process.
• To take an active role in the development of design solutions together with their integration and maintenance throughout the subsequent design process.
• Development of conceptual design solutions to the design problems agreed with the client, together with assisting the Project Leader in the presentation of those solutions to the client.
• Undertaking thorough research of both the client's needs and requirements & other similar or related projects to gain a full understanding of the design problems and parameters.

Requirements

• Degree holder in Interior Design/Architecture from a recognized institution
• Demonstrated creative design and experience in Asia region’s large-scale projects
• Strong conceptual design, communication, and presentation skills
• 3-4 years post-graduate experience (or equivalent)
• Excellent communication in spoken and written English
• Exceptional software skills in AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino & Photoshop
