All-source guidance, navigation, and control (GNC) engineer respon.....
- All-source guidance, navigation, and control (GNC) engineer responsible for evaluating and assessing component and integrated capabilities and performance. Provides current and forecasted GNC advancements to indirect-fire systems and munitions.
- Reviews, exploits, analyzes, and makes engineering judgments based on collected data to develop models and simulations using computer aided design and engineering software.
- Works with munition analysts and modeling engineers to develop threat representative trajectory models that accurately model GNC system behavior for customers requiring high fidelity models.
- Utilizes engineering principles and all-source analysis to identify or estimate the characteristics and performance of current and forecasted indirect-fire systems/munitions as well as evaluate their strengths and weaknesses.
- Proactively coordinates, monitors, and integrates current intelligence data to ensure timely, comprehensive and accurate modeling output.
- Analyzes technology trends related to GNC components and subsystems that meet size, cost, reliability, and mission requirements for indirect fire systems in the future and assesses munition performance improvements.
- Provides analysis and contributions to analytical products and materiel exploitation related to GNC component identification, integration requirements, performance, and resultant impact on capabilities of complete munition.
- Provides analysis of GNC component limitations and vulnerabilities, to include potential for jamming or other electromagnetic interference, weather and environmental conditions, and sensitivities to launch environment.
