Responsibilities

· Monitor, plan and schedule maintenance of tanker fleet including dry dock.

· Monitor and arrange statutory and classification surveys for vessels.

· Co-ordinate the repairs, defect rectifications and modifications.

· Budget implementation.

· Approve vessel request for stores and spares part.

· Ensure execution of planned maintenance and monitor vessel performance.

· Conduct vessel inspection and ensure compliance with class/statutory regulations and company safety requirements.

· Maintain and upkeep technical manuals, drawings, catalogues from makers and yards.

· Carry out annual vessel technical inspection/audit.

· Attend to technical matters arising during the project.

· Plan and co-ordinate technical repairs during the project including docking of the vessel as necessary.

· Ensure any defects that may affect charter be resolved in a timely manner.

· Attend to project and task assigned.

Requirements

· Certificate of Competency Class-1 or 2 with sailing experiences on tankers as Engineer is preferred

· 3-4 years working experiences as Technical Superintendent for tankers vessels in ship management company

· Good knowledge in vessel machinery, equipment and system

· Knowledge of maritime rules and regulations, codes and guidelines, ISM and ISPS codes preferred

· Able to lead, control and also a good team player

· Able to administer technical and budgetary requirements

Job Description

1. Report to Marine/Crewing Superintendent and support crewing department with fleet of vessels.

2. Liaise with seafarer recruitment agencies.

3. To verify crew's licenses, permits, certificates, documentation, qualification, experience with relevant authorities etc. and ensure compliance of regulations.

4. To make the required arrangement for crew's interview.

5. To make the required arrangement for medical check-up, lodging, documents for crew's entry/departure from joining port. (Inclusive of handling of visas and adherence to local legislation)

6. Prepare crew employment contracts, briefing seafarers on their employment contracts, company policies and procedures.

7. Upkeep and maintenance of crew's documents/certification to ensure validity.

8. Preparation and maintenance of crew's documentation relating to appraisal / promotion / crew complaint procedures.

9. Preparation for crew's payroll.

10. Assisting with and maintenance of crewing documents for company's DOC, vessel's ISM/MLC and other regulatory documents.

Requirements

1. At least 2 years of crew management.

2. Able to work well both independently and in a team.

3. Positive and attention to detail.

4. Good communication and interpersonal skills.

5. Be on standby as and when required.

Job Responsibilities:

• Monitor, plan and schedule maintenance of tanker fleet including dry dock, according to instructions and timeline.
• Perform service maintenance, troubleshoot technical problems, and repair all equipment/machinery assigned.
• To check and review all purchase requisitions raised by the vessel engine department.
• To check, review and work out the action plan of all engine defects.
• Update and keep accurate records of service and repair works.
• Assist Technical Supt in monitoring the Class and Flat State requirements, planning the require surveys for vessels.
• Provide assistance to Technical Supt to prepare for dry-docking repair specifications.
• Source and recommend suppliers for all purchases.
• Update of repair cost and schedule for repairs.
• Maintain and upkeep technical manuals, maintenance and inventory record, drawings, catalogues from makers and yards.
• Other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Certificate of Competency Class-5 with sailing experiences on tankers as Engineer is preferred.
• Minimum 3-4 years working experiences as Technical for tankers vessels in ship management company.
• Past marine or engineering experience will be an advantage.
• Good knowledge in vessel machinery, equipment and system an added advantage.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office: Microsoft Word & Microsoft Excel.
