Purely Care are recruiting Health & Social Care Apprentices.
You will start with learning how to deliver direct care in the community, and then will develop skills in care co-ordination and the administration involved in care.
As an apprentice you would be employed on a 30 hour per week contract, working at times to be arranged between the hours of 7am and 10pm. Weekend and unsocial hours working is required.
The Apprenticeship is for two years at the end of the qualification you should have completed a level two in health and social care.
We provide care for disabled and elderly people in their own homes in Norwich. Direct care duties include washing, dressing, help with toileting, meal preparation, shopping and light domestic duties. Most of our work is short visits of 30 minutes or an hour, and then you move on to the next client.
An Apprentice in Health and Social Care needs to be able to drive, have access to their own transport and live in Norwich. (Kickstart may be able to help with a scooter – see their website).
You must have a good standard of literacy (GCSE level C or above) and be computer literate. You should preferably have some experience of working with elderly or disabled people and have a genuine interest in doing care work.
Due to the nature of the work applicants should be aged 17 or over.
Good prospects of promotion within the company.
Apprenticeships do not qualify for sponsorship, applicants must have the right to work in UK.
