Job Title: Assistant Accounting Manager

(FINANCE DEPARTMENT)

Job Description & Requirements

Main task

· Maintain and ensure accounting operations, financial reports and internal controls comply with applicable statutory standards.

· Ensure timely preparation & submission of monthly management reports and quarterly / semi-annual / annual audit reports.

· Establish strong accounting processes and periodically review and improve existing processes to ensure compliance.

· Manage compliance and timely reporting of Goods and Service Tax (GST) and other tax compliance matters.

· Facilitate and review on Company’s financial planning process, budget and forecasting.

· Monitor and maintain healthy cash position of the Company.

· Grow and develop the finance team

Supplementary Tasks

· Facilitate on Company’s consolidation closing process.

· Collaborate with other HODs to identify, measure and manage organizational risks for improve performance

· Other ad hoc duties / tasks / projects as assigned by the Management

· Efficiency: Timely delivery of reports, filings for tax and statutory purpose, and go-live business application(s), if any.

· Innovation: new idea or proposal to improve existing business process / accounting process.

Responsibilities

· Maintain and manage the day-to-day accounting operations within the Finance team and people from other functional department.

· Review the works of Accountants and Accounts Executive.

· Ensure timely closing of Company’s accounts and compliance with all statutory / tax filing requirements.

· Facilitate and liaise with external auditors, tax agent and corporate secretariat on matters pertaining to accounts and taxation (GST and WHT).

· Support for budgeting and forecasting process.

· Contribute to ad-hoc projects assigned by Accounting Manager and Financial Controller.

Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent professional degree recognized by local Accounting body.

· More than 5 years working experience and knowledge in bookkeeping and accounting principles / standards.

· Proficiency in SAP ERP and Microsoft Office applications

Job Description

Reporting to the Financial Systems Manager, this position drives the following processes and activities to enhance internal controls, governance and risk management in the organization:

Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR):

· Assist with the establishment of design and operation evaluation plan for ICFR (K-SOX)

· Support internal and external audits requirements as well as follow-up measure implementation

· Understanding the job processes of functional departments

· Identify opportunities for improvement on financial systems processes

· Work closely with internal stakeholders to identify workflow gaps

· Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across different organization level to facilitate smooth execution of audit fieldwork and monitoring

· Perform daily controls monitoring

Job Requirements

• A bachelor's, Master, or PhD degree in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences).
• Demonstrated experience in overall project management. Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) would be advantageous.
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls (CMC) regulatory requirements and processes, particularly in the authoring or management of Quality sections of dossiers for clinical trial and marketing authorization applications of biologics drug.
• Strong collaborative skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, vendors, and alliance partners.

• Knowledge of upstream and downstream bioprocessing and understanding of process development, optimization, validation, scale-up, and technology transfer

• Project management experience with a track record in problem solving and liaison across functions

• Proven ability to negotiate, influence or resolve conflicting timelines/ priorities

We are seeking highly motivated and innovative Bioassay Scientists who are passionate about biologic drug development to join us in our fast-growing R&D Lab. The applicant for Scientist should demonstrate competency in designing and developing assays and leading independent projects.

ROLES, RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS

• Develop, validate, and perform cell-based functional potency assays and ligand binding assays in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
• Develop, validate, and perform PK/immunogenicity assays of clinical trial samples in compliance with regulatory and GLP guidelines.
• Reviews, interprets, and analyzes data for technical, quality and compliance to protocols, SOPs, Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and regulatory guidelines.
• Deliver quality data on time to meet project timelines.
• Prepares and reviews study protocol/plan, SOPs, study reports, and other technical documents.
• Provide technical and scientific expertise as required.
• Ensure scientific integrity of studies conducted and reports submitted.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• PhD in biomedical science, life science or equivalent
• Proficiency in mammalian cell culture and aseptic techniques is a must.
• Knowledge and proficiency in ligand binding assays such as ELISA, BLI/Octet, SPR or flow cytometry and cell-based potency assays including reporter gene assays, proliferation assays or cytotoxicity assays.
• Knowledge or experience in pharmacokinetics or immunogenicity assays.
• Prior experience in Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) is an advantage.
