You are required to work shifts for the position in the wards, ICU and CCU. For positions at the Cardiac Catheterisation/Imaging Laboratories, you must be prepared to be on call according to roster.

Upon graduation, you will join National Heart Centre of Singapore (NHCS) as a Staff Nurse (Inpatient).

Job Description of Staff Nurse (Inpatient)
You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate the total nursing care for an assigned group ofpatients, as well as perform a wide variety of nursing procedures and patienteducation that meet patients’ needs. You will have opportunities to work in the Cardiothoracic Surgery wards/ Intensive Care Unit (ICU) or Cardiologywards/ Coronary Care Unit (CCU). You will be required to perform shift work.

You are responsible for managing the commissioning and decommissioning, rectification, preventive maintenance, and maintenance agreements of medical equipment for NHCS. This will include preparing the medical equipment specifications for procurement and you will be expected to participate in evaluation process to provide recommendations based on technical compliance.

In addition, you will provide supervision and guidance to junior staffs to ensure day-to-day operation efficiency. You will also support the HOD and/or BME Manager in achieving department set targets and key performance indicators.

Requirements:

• Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronic/ Electrical Engineering, or equivalent with at least 2 years’ work experience in healthcare industry; OR Diploma in Biomedical Engineering, Electronic/ Electrical Engineering, or equivalent with at least 6 years’ work experience in healthcare industry
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Experience in project management in biomedical engineering field in the healthcare industry
• Knowledge in Information / Medical Device Technology and/or a wide range of medical equipment operation would be preferred

You will provide administrative support to the nursing department. Your duties will include maintaining databases and collating of statistical reports. Cardiovascular disease is the world’s no.1 killer. The Cardiovascular Systems Imaging and Artificial Intelligence (CVS.AI) lab conducts in-depth assessments of cardiovascular disease amongst at-risk populations in Singapore and internationally to uncover new knowledge of complex patterns of cardiovascular disease. We are seeking a highly motivated research team member with an interest in managing global and local projects for cardiovascular medicine and cardiac data. This will involve organising and coordinating large-scale studies and data management. There will be lots of opportunity for collaboration with world-renowned researchers on a national and international level.

You will be part of the CVS.AI team reporting to the Principal Investigator. You will assist the Core Scientific Lead/Principal Investigator to manage and coordinate projects including regulatory submission, grant submission preparation, research collaborations, and are expected to follow up closely on the research projects assigned under your care. You will also help maintain the regulatory files of research projects, including but not limited to grant submission, ethics submission, and ensure the laboratory activities comply with the relevant workplace safety requirements. You are expected to work effectively and collaboratively with team members, statisticians, clinicians, software engineers and machine learners. Requirements:

• BSc in Life Sciences or its equivalent

You are responsible for translating patients’ medical diagnoses, operations and procedures into international classification alphanumeric codes, and are expected to ensure the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of the coding. You will also assist with the auditing of the medical records which involves checking on the accuracy of the codes assigned. You are required to work closely with the clinicians to address coding issues.

You will assist in all aspects of cardiac procedures and patient care in the Department of Cardiology. Suitable candidates will be offered employment on a 1-year contract.

Requirements:

• A recognised basic medical degree
• Passed the national licensing examination as required in the country where the basic medical degree was conferred (if applicable)
• At least 3 years’ post-housemanship working experience as a medical officer (or equivalent) in the relevant field / specialty or possess a postgraduate medical qualification in the relevant field /specialty

The team at National Heart Centre Singapore and National Heart Research Institute Singapore strives to align research activities according to goals of Singapore’s biomedical and healthcare initiatives. This will include preventive and clinical translational strategies with direct impact on population and clinical patients.
