The qualified candidate will audit and ensure integrity of calculated results through accounting data comparisons and market reasonability checks; research and resolve data validation differences; elevate system issues; work with accounting counterparts and other support groups as appropriate; produce and ensure the integrity of standard performance reports.
What you will be responsible for:
Verify portfolios on a monthly or daily basis utilizing the in house Performance System, running system jobs from logout, rates calculation and log in
Perform research and analysis of performance results through a two-step audit. The first category being data validation/reconciliation of Accounting data to Performance data and the second category reviewing and validating return reasonability checks and audits
Process translation adjustments and re-compute return results
Process Breakouts and Composites portfolios and finalize client data
Prepare Standard Client Reporting for Performance Measurement and /or Attribution
Maintain Quality Control Documentation explaining return outliers and custom client activity
Liaise with internal State Street departments such as Accounting, IT, and Market Data Team
Assist more senior staff in designated projects and assignments

IT specialists can perform one of the following functions: QA Engineer, Software Engineer, Database Engineer, Software Developer, IT Auditor, Data Engineer or Business Analyst.
Alternative Investment Solutions - teams deliver suite of fund accounting/administration, investor services, middle office trade support and risk services for Hedge, Private Equity and Real Assets
Corporate Audit - our third line of defense; function responsible for independent and objective assessments of the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls
Investment Compliance – function responsible for monitoring if the funds invest in accordance with the law and prospectus guidelines. Scope of activities includes: services for Germany, Ireland, Luxembourg, France and Swizerland in the areas of fund accounting data analysis and clients reports analysis. Securities Lending Team monitors compliance of securities lending and collateral processes.
Fund Accounting - teams work on preparation, calculation and verification of Net Asset Value (NAVs) of investment funds; function provides comprehensive bookkeeping, monitoring and reporting of funds' activities.
Anti-Money Laundering (AML) – the common tasks of the team focus on providing compliance oversight, performing onboarding and periodic reviews (risk profiling of the customers from money-laundering perspective), reporting any suspicious activities or building relationships with the clients based on “Know Your Customer” approach.
Financial Reporting - responsible for preparing financial statements for annual and interim cycle. They also prepare and complete first draft of audited annual and unaudited interim financial statements from trial balance including Profit and Loss Account Balance Sheet Cash Flow Schedule of Investments notes to financial statements.
Corporate Actions/Middle Office Transaction Management - responsible for processing trade file submitted by the Fund daily on trade-date confirmation (electronic telephonic or hardcopy) based upon the trade file transmitted by the Fund.
Depositary Services - responsible for an oversight of fund operations, both from NAV calculation and Investment Manager perspective.
Key Investor Information Document (KIID) - Krakow KIID Team works closely with the Client Service team in Luxembourg to service clients across EMEA region with regards to a Key Investor Information Documents (simplified prospectus).
Finance Shared Service Centre (FSSC) - is a division of finance, FSSC was established in Krakow to provide accounting financial analysis, and regulatory reporting services for the European State Street sites. Global Accounting Operations, Global Billing Operations or Treasury team are part of the department.

Application Development/Maintenance (State Street Bank and Trust Company; Quincy, MA): Will be a hands-on software development position, responsible for writing code primarily in JAVA and SQL Server, interfacing with business project teams. State Street Bank Loans platform is undergoing long term growth as customers choose to invest in alternative classes of investments. The Application Development Consultant will continue to be a part of an established technology team to help in the onboarding of clients and integrate with other State Street systems. This position will facilitate clients in getting one view of State Street across all asset classes. Specific duties of the position include: Working in a payment initiation platform; applying knowledge of Java and J2EE to translate business requirements into readable code; relating and linking data across multi-functional systems serving different asset classes; translating complex mathematical calculations into readable code; utilizing Wall Street Office and interfacing systems; receiving and analyzing requirements and proposing a suitable solution that adheres to the team’s methodology, including writing and maintaining Operating Procedures and Standards; analyzing requirements and successfully applying skills in problem solving to provide solutions at various stages of software development and methodology; operating in a self-sufficient manner and identifying the right time to raise queries or concerns; developing high proficiency web services and delivering extracts to downstream data warehouse; communicating at the right level with all parties involved— developers, business project teams, and end users—who may be based in different locations and time-zones; overseeing on and offshore Bank Loan development teams; managing/monitoring Bank Loan business and IT production support issues; problem-solving for complex application environments using analytical skills to research and design solutions; and understanding Deployment Architectures and High Availability Concepts.
